Whatever anyone was saying in that corner Dillian sure wasn't listening. You can tell by the way he was just saying OK, OK, OK before anyone even made their point. Whyte is a HW boxer who got caught by another HW boxer. It happens.

I'm not referring to what was said in the corner in the end of round. I'm talking about as the fight was in progress.
Watch it back on numerous occasions u clearly hear Penfold shouting out a shot for dillian to do and dillian does that exact same shot that Penfold has called out, like a robot so to speak. Watch it back and listen. It happens numerous times. Then at the end he asks dillian to defend a jab that povwtkin hasn't even thrown ye. He asks him to defend and counter, which is exactly what happened in the final exchange
Coldwell has screwed this up for Dillian.

Povetkin can’t listen to what Coldwell says because Povetkin can’t speak English

I thought opposite, I heard the corner telling Whyte NOT to put his weight on his front foot. Whyte ignored them and paid the price.

I've answered this a few times in the thread already.
Povetkin has been an international fighter for well over 20 years, he's been in hundreds of competitions throughout the world.
No povetkin can't string English sentences together, but he will know the simple boxing words like Jab. Of course povetkin knows what the English word jab means, he's been in enough compettions both amateur and pro against English speaking opponents

When you go to catch n counter out of a parry, your weight has to transfer from back to lead, you can't throw a correct parry/catch & right hand counter, without weight transfering from the back onto the front foot, you also get a momentum as you ride your opponents jab but you can't ride a throw away jab.
Whyte went to make that move but Pov fooled him with light (throw away) jab cos he knew what Whyte was going to do, cos it was shouted out from the corner.
I'm not saying povetkin hadn't been trying to set that same combo up, what I'm saying is that the perfect scenario was presented for povetkin to pull off the move.
Here's another way of putting it. If Povetkin didn't actually do that, then he bloody well should of done cos that's what a clever fighter would of done!

I don't know if you can say Coldwell got Whyte KOd but he certainly didn't help.

Yeah, great points and I understand what you're saying. The catch and counter is impressive when it works.

But watch Whyte, he looks like he over reaches, sometimes he does lean over his front foot, even to flick his jab, not every time but it happens enough to punish it, he was doing it again Saturday. He sometimes looks like he almost stubbles forward.

His footwork isn't great and he doesn't look very compact when that happens.

I don't really remember Whyte dipping to either side, leaning back out of range Saturday, his just leant forward, tried to get under every attack, even when Povetkin attacked the body Whyte seemed to dip forward and drop his elbows to cover his body.

Looking back it was only a matter of time before a fighter of Povetkins experience, knowledge and ability tried to exploit it. I'm not saying I saw it Saturday night in real time, I was just watching a fight and enjoying it but they say hindsight is 20/20.

When Whyte leans forward, he is always open to his opponent to slipping the jab, slipping the straight right hand and then he is out of position defensively and offensively and he was caught out by Povetkin.

Beautifully timed shot from Povetkin, it wasn't as if he really wound it up, it was just timed and placed perfectly.

He's always had A LOT of technical flaws, he was lucky to be in a horrificly poor heavyweight era outside of Fury.

He's already a very very rich man worth tens of mills. I doubt he has the hunger now at 30+ to improve or contest an alphabet belt one day.

If u know why ur doing it and when to do it, dropping your weight over your front leg is good work. The problem comes when you do it out of bad habit, you then become a counterpunchers dream.
Whyte technically isn't great and some things he does is bad. I agree.

Penfold having a right old rant on social media about ‘trolls’ and ‘keyboard warriors’ criticising Whyte. Think someone’s looking to get themselves a full time job with Dillian.

The best kid that Penfold brought through himself is Jerome Wilson. Wilson's book "Wiped Out" is a good read. Penfold doesn't come out of it well.
