Mine has to be James Butler when he sucker punched Richard Grant. I have to say Mayweather vs Ortiz was a controversial one too. I made a video about this where I discuss 10 of these cheap shots, feel free to check it out and let me know your thoughts! This content is protected
Nice video! Nicely edited, too. The Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz is definitely a cheap shot (albeit legal) but you could definitely argue that it was warranted. The Andre Dirrell one always makes me laugh. The analysis of it afterward is quite amusing. It was definitely a cheap shot and he milked it!
While you are still on your feet then the ref instruction of "Protect Yourself at All Times" is the way to go every second of the fight. If hit whilst you are on canvas then that is 100% a cheapshot. The Butler punch in the vid is out and out illegal assault.
Very true except at no time did Joe Cortez signal box on. Mayweather acted just like you'd expect a cheating cowardly punk to act. Both Floyd & Cortez should have been hauled before the commission & censured. Oh But!! Look who the Commission was ???? I rest my case
It's more of a situation than a a single cheap shot but the whole Glowacki vs Briedis debacle was one of the most bizzare things I've seen in boxing.
Floyd made it his choice to have people hate him. He marketed himself as a villain. can't cry because it freakin worked FFS!
