Timmy boxed beautiful. One thing that surprised me was how much bigger & stronger Timmy appeared in there than Horndog. And that's despite Horndog weighing in half a kilo heavier.

I have to give some credit to Tszyu's management for making that fight. I would have kept milking lower level opponents. They went big & he was more than up to the job. They really lay the foundation for that win with what they did last year. Joel Camilleri (who was one of Tszyu's main sparring partners for this fight) & Dwight Ritchie (RIP) were live opponents last year who took Timmy the full 10 both times. Camilleri was physically very strong & unorthodox (like Horn) while Dwight was fast & skilful. Junior Tszyu also had a couple of trips to America for sparring with world class opposition & did the Manny Pacquiao training camp (both in the Philippines & US) for the Keith Thurman fight. Junior's comment that he had done more rounds with Manny than Horndog was significant I thought in that it was true. And he'd done the rounds more recently.

So where to next for Timmy Tool Train? I think you make the fight with Patrick Teixeira, the WBO champ, if they can get him out here. The guy is world champ but hasn't collected a pay cheque all year. He can get one here. I don't think he'll be returning home with his belt if he elects to take it though. He's a tall lanky southpaw so Junior's Crew will need to address that in terms of the sparring partners they use for him. In terms of tall, lanky local southpaws around Junior's weight, Wade Ryan (another former opponent) and Andrew Hunt (who has fast hands) come to mind. The Irishman Conor Wallace (who Junior has sparred with before) would be another good option if he's still in the country. Tej Singh is another decent local southpaw although style-wise he's not quite the right fit.

In summary, great win Timmy and commiserations to Horndog. I've loved watching Horndog fly the flag for Australian boxing. Everyone knows about the Manny Pacquiao win but I really loved his rematch performance against Michael Zerafa. It was possibly the best fight I've ever seen, probably the best Australian domestic fight I've ever seen & round 9 was definitely the best round of boxing I ever did see. Both guys won the fight during it. If he did want to continue his career, a rubber match with Michael Zerafa is an option for him. A rest & a long think are in order first though.

Tszyu was way stronger. Huge moral victory how he threw Horn around like a "rag doll" to make a point. Horn really ate his words with that one. Tszyu is all business in his approach. I love it. Dude is going to capture the minds of fans all of the world with his Stoic personality in addition to his style.

Tim almost reminds me of Fedor as far as his cold and serious demenour. That's definitely an Eastern European thing. Remember the household he grew up in. It's not an act. That's who the guy really is.

Good solid win for Tim against the Hornet last night but I don't think we should be pumping up his tyres to
quickly on the back of that performance , lets face it Horn is shot to s..t and only has plan A with his come
forward herky jerky grapple and hold style while trying to land a hail mary , Horn doesnt have the skill level
to adjust his style and his corners instructions are d grade level .
TT is a solid prospect with potential and needs to hone his skills against a better class of fighter before he
takes on world title challenges , he looks a bit stiff and has no head movement and does he have enough power
to mix it with the top dogs in his division ?
His trainers have plenty to work with and he should enjoy his victory last night and i am looking forward to seeing
his development in future fights against live opposition.

Sure i saw something on the screen while watching the fight of winner getting title shot against Texeira next but that can't be right, was there some sort of arrangement already with Texeiras team?
I guess him defending his WBO title in australia in front of large audience, would likely be his best financial opportunity.

I believe his work ethic and temprement which was really impressive last night with the big occasion not getting 2 him even in the slightest, will be 1 of the main factors in his rise to challenging and hopefully winning a world title in near future.
He's obviously been working and sparring with elite fighters overseas which is beginning to show and if he continues to sorround himself with the right people I see bright future for him

    Why would he do that?
If he was going to fight him it should have been before last nights fight and i'm not sure why he would take a step back fighting another domestic level guy when he just took a massive step beating Horn, which due to how well known he is around the world, should open up other bigger opportunities

Easy fight to make especially with travel bans. Zerafa is a better fighter than Horn and will be a harder test. Zerafa has a good chin and would be ready for a 12 round fight.

I think a fight with Michael Zerafa makes a lot of sense if they can't make a fight with Patrick Teixeira before the year is out.

If they can get a winnable world title shot, take it. If Junior Tszyu wins the title, he could make a couple of voluntary defences next year against the likes of Michael Zerafa & Dennis Hogan.

With the country locked down, Junior may be restricted to domestic opposition. The Kiwi Bowyn Morgan is another fight I've always fancied for him.

Sure its an easy fight to make and may be good to watch but its a step back imo but i guess if hes unable get better overseas opposition it may be a decent option instead of sitting on the shelf for 6+ months
