I can’t remember: did you participate?

Tyson over Holyfield is a joke.

    Head to head, clear winner.

    Better scalps on Holy’s resume.

Common opponents? Anybody want to start with Buster Douglas?

The list of participants has been up for weeks.

A simple look-up would have sufficed.

You’re right. Instead of asking a simple yes/no question, I should have gone to a video, forwarded it until the list of participants showed up and written them all down — but wait, when I paused it showed clips of other things so I couldn’t see all the names.

So I instead should watch it, then hit the thing to wind it back 10 seconds or whatever, and do it again and again until I see your name.

    Geez.

    No video needed, Pat.

You just go the very first post in this thread, where Rummy posted the complete list of participants.

Why would you need to pause anything or write anything down ?

    There's a list of the 24 names.
A brief scan lets you see if someone participated.

That sound like an awfully complicated (and unnecessary) rigmarole to go through.

The link took me to a video.

I hit play. It started. There was no list of names. I fast-forwarded. There was a list of names. Then it moved on to the next thing. So I had to wind it back.

I cannot look at 24 names and absorb them all in a couple of seconds. Congrats for your speed-reading skills.

Glad we both spent time on this delightful conversation to get to know each other better rather than you just saying yes or no.

    Goodbye.

The link took you to a post.

The post contained the list of participants.

    You over-complicated matters.

It took me to a post with a video filling my screen. No I did not scroll.

You could have said yes or no. You over complicated matters.

    Again, goodbye.

I'm baffled as to why you clicked on the video, one of eight such videos.
It's customary when going to a link to read the whole post.

At any rate, you got the information you were seeking.

    So all's well.

I am hoping to have the final Survey done within 4-5 days. I know this one will take longer to organize, but I'm not quite sure how much longer.

    I completely disagree.

But in the past I have agreed.

However Tyson from 85-91 achieved more than Holyfield did as a HW, imo.

Losing to Douglas, sucks. So does losing to Moorer.

Tyson never avenged his defeat over Douglas, but given the shape Douglas fought the remainder of his career, and the shape Tyson fought his, I can't really hold that against him.

Holyfield beat Tyson, in 96. Maybe he always would have beaten Tyson, I won't argue to vociferously, but there's enough doubt in my mind to not hold that result absolute in this discussion.

Holyfield does have Bowe, I suppose. That's a right good feather in his cap.

Holyfield holds two wins over Tyson and one over Tyson’s conquerer, Douglas.

What are Tyson’s best wins? An aging light heavyweight with knee issues who has lost his mobility in Spinks and an old Holmes who was on the shelf and trained for about a month?

Holyfield’s resume is far better at the top, where it counts most. Plus head to head.

Tyson's best wins? I'd probably say Spinks, Berbick, Holmes, Tucker and Golota.

Backed up with the likes of Ferguson, Thomas, Stewart, Ruddock, Bruno, Williams, Tubbs, Norris, Seldon.
