I remember seeing a lot of clips, but the first full fight I ever saw was the immortal Rumble in the Jungle about 3 or 4 yrs. ago. I remember my dad and I watching the build up for like an hour, I was impatient, but it was the most enjoyable impatience I ever had. Ali started fast in the first, but Foreman fought in bursts for the first four rounds, landing good body blows. Near the end of the fifth, Ali humored Foreman and the two engaged in a ferocious exchange of haymakers. Foreman was almost gone. Still, he landed a good right uppercut in the sixth, but kept slipping. I remember my dad was making cookies and kept getting up to leave, and I had to keep pausing it, and I kept growing more and more anxious all the time. Then came the eighth, when a totally drunk Foreman lunged across the ring to land a huge haymaker that surprisingly landed. Shortly after that, Ali came off the ropes to KO Big George. Though not my favorite fight, probably the most exciting time I ever watched a fight. Foreman-Lyle and Norton-Holmes would be the only ones to rival it probably.

Describe it? It was Jim Watt with cut eyes, can't remember it much.

Well, for those who can remember theirs well. I guess you could revise it to describe the first fight you remember well, or the first fight you were really excited to see.

Leonard-Hearns I. It was great. The two best fighters on the planet, unifying the only two belts in one of the original classes. Unbeaten Hearns showed the greatest boxing skills from range in history for 12 rounds, Angelo Dundee said the right thing at the right time and Leonard overcame adversity to come on strong and prove himself great. Basically.

Never matched before or since. It's the greatest boxing match ever. It was and is perfect.

Well, technically, it's Hatton vs Floyd, but I'd only just turned four and I don't remember it. The first fight I ever stayed up and watching as it happened was GGG vs Jacobs.

I think it was Klitchsko vs Adamek, although I'm not sure.

I remember vaguely watching Hatton v Floyd when I was younger and my dad being pizzed off because the ref apparently ruined it.

The first fight I actually looked forward to though was Fury v Wlad.

Marciano vs LaStarza on same old channel who had only black and white movies like horrors and wsterns.
I didn't understand anything and I didn't know boxing back then but I was amazed by ending with Marciano knocking LaStarza.
Black and white boxing fights like Walker,Dempsey,Johnson,Joe Louis,Amstrong,Conn,Baer and Marciano were first I watched.
I remember Godoy- Louis and Marciano/LaStarza 1 also Baer vs Nova and I would fell aslep with those old black and white fights and dream about them.
I don't know which channel was but Ir was some American local channel I think

Ali-Dunn live on prime time TV over at my grandparents house. Ali won easily, annoying my grandfather though it was predictable enough. That didn't have too huge an impression on me though. The first fight I remember watching as a real potential fan was probably a network replay of Hagler-Duran shortly after it aired on HBO. Then after that it was every weekend with regular appearances by people like Rocky Lockridge or maybe Boza- Edward's, Pedroza, Chavez, all those guys that were on the regular networks then. Curry was another one like that.

I will describe the fight and see how many of you can guess.

Two undefeated heavyweights one 28-0 23 ko’s and the other 17-0 12 ko’s went at it with an alphabet soup belt on the line. The one who took way too many steroids started of well, throwing knock off wish.com Mike Tyson style combinations with all the grace of a brick in a washing machine.

He ran out of juice after three rounds and tried to slow the pace down in round four but ate right hands with his face. In round five a brutally savage fifteen punch beating nearly took his soul.

After captain steroids lost the announcers working for the network backing him said it was too big of a step up despite the fact that their guy who lost had 28 fights while his opponent only had 17. That was when I started muting commentators every fight, only listening to them during the rewatch.

First person to guess gets nothing as it should be obvious to most.

Is it a fight of the last 20 years, because if it is, I probably won't be able to figure it out.
