Nice win by the toolman, i was impressed with his composure and ring sense not to let Horn bully him. All that aside, i think Horny was there for the taking as he's been finished since Bud embarrassed him over in the states. Toolman might lack a little bit of power at the top level but i can't be too critical as he did a great job last night. The only fight in the next 6 months given covid is Zerafa and that's a good fight as he is still a year or 2 away for the top 5 in my opinion.
Zerafa would come in very big rehydrated if that fight was to happen , would be a huge test for Tim . Tims boxing IQ would get him home , probably much like when Zerafa fought Kell Brook he was brave but Brooks boxing skills were too much , not saying TT is in the same league as Kell Brook but TT has enough tools to outbox Zerafa over the distance .
It is obvious to anyone who watched both fights that Zerafa is a better fighter than Horn. Zerafa will likely go the distance as he has a good chin so it would be a good opportunity for Tszyu to get a full 12 rounds under his belt. But if the Teixeira fight is available he should take the risk and make that fight. If not I say fight Zerafa next.
What did everyone think of the supporting fights? That first female fight was pretty bad. Don't know why they persevere with these on t.v fights. Let them get some experience on local card. Shannon O'Connell on the other hand I could watch. She is seasoned and puts her punches together well. That fight went to long though. Sometimes I think the 2 mins rounds, especially in the longer fights, is a bad idea. It prolongs the punishment which is dangerous IMO. JC looked dominant but he makes it hard for himself sometimes. Excellent knockouts for Hardman and Wilson. Liam especially is one to watch but would have been nice to see a few more rounds from him. Much improved from Ben Horn I must say. Still pretty uncoordinated and unskilled but looked in good nick physically and a much better tactical approach.
By the way can anyone make sense of Phil Holiday's 77-73 scorecard for the mainevent? Is that a typo? Somehow he has scored 3 rounds for Horn.
Sort of like when you get a gratuity 600 points on the SAT just for signing your name on the answer sheet.
horn didn't take this fight seriously. he took it for granted that his experience would be enough to get him the win. he should have prepared better.
Excuses, excuses, excuses. NO. He lost to the better boxer who was prepared to deal with his illegal strong arm tactics. That was obviously a big part of Tsyzus camp finding a way to deal with that. And they DID. What happened to Horn throwing Tszyu around like a rag doll? Ha Ha Ha Ha! Horn sure ate his words with that line. Once again when his cheating tactics fail and some semblance of order is maintained by the ref Horn doesn't have a prayer against anyone half decent - hence the totally lopsided nature of all of his defeats. In the end we were right and you were wrong. The sooner you come to terms with this fact the better it'll be for your sanity.

https://7news.com.au/sport/boxing/g...ics-in-jeff-horns-loss-to-tim-tszyu-c-1270788 This idiot is totally arrogant and delusional douchebag. So be it. He's only digging himself a bigger pit. What little credibility he might have will be zero when Horn decides to hang the gloves up.
Yes, good wins for Liam Wilson, Isaac Hardman & Joel Camilleri. Those were the fights I watched. I do rate Liam Wilson highly & I believe he can do something at international level. I noticed the o/seas guys on the rbr weren't impressed with him but Junior Lightweight has been a good mine-shaft for us in the past. We've had several guys hold the IBF version of that world title & a past-his-best Jeff Fenech very unlucky not to snag the WBC version from Azumah Nelson. I think Liam Wilson is capable of joining that very exclusive Australian boxing club in the not too distant future. His biggest question mark appears to be his chin. He's been knocked down a few times although never on ***** street from what I've seen. I wouldn't mind seeing him in a domestic showdown at lightweight with George Kambosos Jr. Winner to be bankrolled into a world title shot (in Liam Wilson's case, at JL). Joel Camilleri was far too experienced & sharp for his opponent while the Headsplitter benefited from the fact that Jamie Weetch hadn't fought since 2018. Good effort to get him out of there inside of a round though.
