I’d say Holyfield has at least three heavyweight wins better than Tyson’s best, including two over Tyson himself.

Holyfield has beaten a by-this-survey top 10 all-time heavyweight, twice. Tyson never beat a top 20 or 25 unless you think Holmes at that time counts.

I'd say Holmes at the time Tyson beat him, counts about as much as Tyson did at the time Holyfield beat him.

No way. Tyson had been active when Holy beat him.

Tyson was prime when he beat post-prime Holmes. Holyfield was way past prime when he whipped Tyson — more-so than Tyson at the same time IMO — so to equate those fights is not intellectually honest.

EDIT: Holy was 2-2 in his last four and had looked horrible against Bobby Czyz his last time out. Tyson was far less in decline.

Tyson and Holmes were both past their best in the losses. Holmes had been semi retired. Tyson had been in prison.

Holyfield was past his best as well, but you don't get extra points, otherwise Foreman beating Moorer trumps any resume out there.

My list of the top 15 heavys of all time is really different than most I'd say:
    1. Ali,, who else?
    2. Joe Louis
    3. Larry Holmes
    4. George Foreman
    5. Sonny Liston, (1st suprise )
    6. Frazier
    7. Lennox Lewis, I have him a little lower because of his ko losses and his fights with an older Holy

    8-15

    8. Mike Tyson
    9. Holyfield
    10 Wlad
    11.Dempsey
    12.Marciano
    13. Johnson
    14.Vitali
    15. Ken Norton,,,, was very suprised he wasn't mentioned anywhere. I think he'd beat a lot of the fighters mentioned from 15 on down and a few above him.

As much as I rate Holy and Tyson (the Klitschkos not so much) neither of them has a better win than Frazier in the FOTC - that's the key reason for his ranking. I don't see how you can say that they are 'far superior' when Frazier was demonstrably a brilliant fighter. When it comes to H2H i'd personally pick prime Tyson to beat Frazier but that's purely a style thing. Holyfield-Frazier would be one of the greatest fights in heavyweight history and is a real pick 'em.

UPDATE - the All Time Survey is getting there. Should be finished in either approximately 24 hours, or maybe 48 give or take. But I'm definitely not expecting it to take longer than 48-50.

I was rating them based on H2H

That's not the basis for most of the lists - it's just one element and not even the most important one.
