Because he could just fight a boring fight and if the fight close and it’s in England the judges will give it to whyte

Whyte could stop Povetkin but he could also get stopped himself.

If Whyte loses to Povetkin again he'd have to be fed to Usyk

    LOL

It was a great shot and a really exciting win for the 40-year-old Povetkin. But I don't see Whyte losing the return. I thought the ref was looking close and thinking of stopping it the round before Povetkin turned it all around with the KO. That's why the knockout punch was so dramatic. Came out of nowhere. And Povetkin will be 41 in a couple weeks. They'll probably have PED testing for the rematch, too, unlike this time.

If Whyte does lose twice to a Povetkin in his 40s, that'll be tough to come back from.

I can’t see whyte doing what AJ did to Ruiz in the rematch. His jab and movement isn’t good enough to keep Povetkin off him for 12 rounds

Yo i'm just pointing out the Eddie Hearn food chain. Don't hate. He has these men lined up.

We would have had AJ Usyk if Ruiz didn't stop him...Eddie got him on the sidelines.

Whyte was beating Povetkin and had him down twice in the 4th.

I think Usyk might beat AJ.

Whyte will come more or less in same shape I guess, but he knows he can't afford another loss, so he may play it more defensive and drag it to a decision.

Povetkin knows what to change (avoid jab and body punches and no need to throw right overhead because it's waste of energy). Could go to distance this time and be a boring fight like Joshua-Parker.

I don't make Whyte favourite for the return. Pov knows he can nail him with one shot and so does Whyte. The psychology of the rematch is weighted one way. There is also the possibility Whyte will be punchy in three months time, I'm reminded of the Kovalev Canelo ko and his battle with Yarde three months prior. Was too soon, and Whyte was out cold. Anyway carry on and rematch Pov.
