Daniel Dubois vs Ricardo Snijders

I do not know the facts, but it seems fishy to me that they can't get Pfeifer's medical records now (or whatever the problem was), but they can sign a completely new fighter.

I am not going to call out Dubois, because I don't have the facts, and because, even if it is a duck, I don't know if it comes from Dubois or Warren, but I can say that I was giving mad credit to Dubois for fighting Pfeifer, on the verge of becoming a fan, and that pretty much all goes away now.

Let him prove himself against Joyce and he'll get my vote.

I think this replacement doesn't make it out of the first, whereas Pfeifer had a chance.

 

Dubois ducking Pfeifer? No. Too old, too slow, too hittable. He's journeyman level guy. I know he was a good amateur for my country and has some skills but he turned pro too late and his whole style isn't fitting the pro game. I think Dubois would have ko'd him badly in 3 rounds and i'm not even sold on Dubois.

 

I don't think Dubois personally ducked him. But Warren did - thinking the risk/reward didn't balance out. Probably glanced at his record on Boxrec and got a bit nervous.

 

Haha. Maybe yeah On paper Pfeifer looks pretty decent. Experienced amateur, fought decent guys there, undefeated as a pro and apart from getting knocked down by a Fat journeyman he probably made it look easy crushing cans.

 

KO1, maybe 2 if Dubois wants a work out.

 

I would laugh to the point of probably suffering a heart attack if this became a HW Kirkland/Ishida with the featherfisted Snijders dropping Dubois several times en route to first round stoppage win. Warren would probably suffer a complete mental breakdown like Maloney did after Price/Thompson fights.

Rico Verhoeven would be a more live dog against Dubois than this kid would... Wouldn't you agree? Not that I'd like to see Rico take a beating here. But it speaks to the quality of this fight.
