    While Nunn was the more skilled McCallums resume is far greater imo and won a belt in 3 very competitive divisions.

    Nunn is up there as one of my favorites but McCallum's resume is way deeper.

    Still, I think Nunn's resume is kinda underrated, many boxers have climbed the p4p lists and entered the hall of fame with worse opposition.

    I'd like to know where the idea that Nunn was " more skilled" than McCallum comes from. Not seeing how that makes sense. McCallum exhibited amazing, fluid skills on the attack, whereas Nunn was probably more adept at moving and slipping and dodging. It's probably harder to maintain fluid fundamentals on the attack while still remaining elusive as McCallum showed than anything Nunn gave us.

    McCallum all day.

    Nunn definitely didn't have more skill. He did have far more athleticism but that doesn't mean he wins

    Oh, I think he might beat McCallum but he's still not as "skilled."

    "Skill" is too often confused here with, as you say, athleticism and being a mover and general evasiveness. Correct execution of aggressive fighting is perhaps even more indicative of a truly skilled fighter. Hell, lots of fighters can run, that means nothing.

    But I get the impression we're in agreement on that.

    The majority of the most skilled fighters ever are offensively based IMO.
