Looks a bit meaty in this one compared to previous. Seen he came in at 244lb is that pretty standard for him?
His fight with Joyce should be intriguing. It's very hard to see where Dubois is in reality - he obviously looks impressive so far, but the opposition he's been fighting are nowhere near his level. Joyce should be by far his toughest test. Warren knows there's far more marketability in Dubois in the long run so wouldn't let him fight Joyce unless they were relatively sure Dubois could win. Assuming Dubois beats Joyce, I would love to see him in with Whyte. Obviously almost certainly wouldn't happen, but I think that would be an interesting fight. Joyce vs Whyte would be good too I think. I wonder what they'll actually do with Dubois over the next year assuming he beats Joyce - I wouldn't be surprised if they try and get him in with a name that they feel he could beat. Maybe David Price.
I was thinking more in terms of a name. David Price is still very well known to the Matchroom audience - more so than Joyce. Reputationally he'd need a couple of names as scalps to boost his profile. Chisora would be a decent scalp too from that point of view.
He’s been slowly creeping through the 230’s. He’s 4lbs heavier than against Fujimoto last time out. He’s a growing lad...
Not too much of a jump then. Just a bit of lockdown timber. Wonder what the plan is with no Joyce fight? Someone else on the WBO list to get him that mando position. Junior Fa?
My thoughts exactly. Dubios level of opponents (in relation to his reputation) has been nothing short of disgraceful so far.
The O2 are provisionally prepared to allow a max capacity of only 1000 to attend the fight. For each seat occupied, the seats each side and those in front and behind must be left vacant. For the fight to be financially viable, FW needs the O2 to be a sell out and that’s 20,000.
