Close enough big boy. Lets cut to the chase - you have no idea what the **** you are looking at.

Yes, I do. These welterweights are as good as the welterweights from that era. I've said that for years. And it's true. And I stated clearly over and over why, in thread after thread.

You can't state why that era was SO MUCH BETTER than this one, so you have to try to personally disparage me.

I haven't been hateful to Curry. I just don't think he was great. Never did. Because he didn't prove it in the ring. Clearly, others don't either, which is why people keep starting threads wondering why he's considered great. (LOL).

Had he beaten great fighters, I'd agree with you. He had his opportunities, but he didn't.

    That's all.

Not at all. I've no horse in the race.

Hey, i am confused about something.

Lately you have been supporting Don King to the point of patheticism. A convicted killer and criminal yet many times in here you have been seen slagging off fighters to the nth degree over criminal behavior.

Why do you give Don King multiple passes yet guys like Monzon are slagged off to the nth degree?

One doesn't have to go past page 1 here to see you in full flight -

    https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/carlos-monzon-all-title-fights.618889/

In this one you can be seen blindly polishing Don King despite numerous criminal misdemeanors including killing people.

    Please explain.

No you don't. You have no idea. The below shows you have zero idea about boxing and what you are looking at. It's not even debatable. Give it up already. The below is seriously embarrassing. I would never have shown my face in here again but then again i'd never be that stupid in the first place.

The below is quite frankly belittling.

Remember when Dubble said that Hearns, Kovalev and Saad Muhammad would beat Ezzard Charles? Ahhhh, good times....

One of the differences between Curry and the current set of 147lbers is hindsight. Curry and I believe, everyone he has fought has now retired. We have generally, 30 years of hindsight to judge Curry. We have context to his era.

The post modern fighters are still going, as are most of their opposition. We do not have clarity to judge them like we do Curry. And thus you cannot fairly judge them as peers to Curry et al, in the sense of their place in the Welterweight history books.

I'm confused by something, too. How did you find a thread where I'm commenting to no one on page 1 (LOL)?

And, yes, for the record, I'm against men who murder their wives. (Was that too hateful for you?)

Why do I get the feeling your were praising a wife murderer, and you removed what I was responding to? You didn't doctor that thread, did you John?

Stop derailing this welterweight thread, John. You'll get banned for two weeks.

Derailing the thread again, I see.

So, because you can't have a legit discussion about this welterweight era and that one, you decide to post links where I picked Wilder over Fury this year?

You're flailing. This is getting weirder. Post something else off topic, John. I want to see what other threads you doctor before posting links to them.

Wow. Why was the 80s welterweight era better than this one, John?

John: You're Don King's lovechild. (LOL)

Nice, John. But why do you think the 80s era welters were better than this era's welterweights? I don't see it. I think this eras welterweights are just as good, if not better.

John: You picked Fury-Wilder II wrong. (LOL)

That's nice. Why were the 80s welterweights better than this era?

    John: You hate Curry.

No, I don't. Why do you think this era isn't as good as that era?

John: You support Don King and you think Carlos Monzon killed his wife, and that makes me angry.

Okay, but why do you think the 80s welterweights were better than the current welterweight era?

    John: HATER!

    Another thread derailed by nonsense.
