Saying somebody is a better trainer then Rushton isn't saying much now is it? You and your oxygen thief mate can continue going on rants about Rushton all you want, but no idea why you keep lieing and connecting me to saying he was a good trainer,just like now my comments were about Fenechs abilities as a trainer,since he has been taking pot shots for years at Rushton and plenty of others in aussie boxing.

You took issue with Midnight calling Rushton one of the worst trainers in boxing. Now you packpeddle because Rushton was once again exposed as the terrible trainer that he is and is being ripped to shreds right now. @MidniteProwler and myself both remember this argument so play dumb all you want. Fenechs jabs at Rushton are great and totally necessary. He criticizes the obvious imperfections of the boxing scene in his country and wants it to improve. You should be glad that he's doing it instead of being a mindless cheerleader for Australian boxing.

Matt Rose wants him to have a fight in Aust before end of the yr ( Dennis Hogan is now chasing the fight ) before heading next yr to the States where he hopes to have a world title shot by the end of the yr . Opponent's being mentioned for overseas debut are Kell Brook and Cuban Erislandy Lara. * Big fight card in Oct in Brisbane headlined by Jai Opetia ( name mentioned Ben Kelleher ) will be live on Fox. Isaac Hardman will fight if an opponent can be found on five / six weeks notice. * Jackson Woods has said that for Liam Wilson fight he took it on 4 weeks notice and had to lose 14 kgs.
I'd stay away from Lara for sure lol. Kell Brook might be an interesting albeit risky fight for Tszyu. Hogan domestically is a decent fight with relatively low risk. Although he got shafted in his world title bid against Munguia I don't see him posing much of a threat to the more fundamentally sound and active Tszyu. Either that or Zerafa are the most likely moves wouldn't you say? With Teixeira being targeted sometime next year. Btw keep up the good work. I like both Dennis Hogan & Michael Zerafa as opponents. With more than 100,000 PPV buys @ $60, Junior Tszyu should stick around in Australia for another couple of fights & really cash in. Do the math. Dennis Hogan is an uncrowned former WBO Junior Middleweight champ. His scalp would look good next to that of the former WBO Welter champ. A fight with Michael Zerafa would be more likely to interest people in Victoria so he's possibly the more marketable domestic opponent of the two. People know who Zerafa is & so it would be a chance to raise Junior's east coast profile in a big domestic market (i.e. Victoria). With Coronavirus still prevalent down there, maybe Dennis Hogan in Queensland makes more sense first up. Followed by Zerafa. Junior needs to keep his options open in so far as international opponents are concerned. Patrick Teixeira looks the most beatable, but I think he's locked into a fight with Brian Castano next which he will probably lose. Castano is hard punching & dangerous. Erislandy Lara doesn't hit as hard & is old so he has to be the next best choice. It's going to be exciting seeing Junior Tszyu in with a genuine top 5 guy. I reckon consolidate here first with another couple of fights, then go for it. Great to hear Jai Opetaia is fighting in October. I hope we see Dean Lonergan promoting that one. I think Lonergan is an excellent promoter & he has some really good young Australian talent at his disposal that can keep him involved in the sport here. He has an interest in Liam Wilson, Brock Jarvis & Sam Goodman. The guy he really needs to be promoting though is Justis Huni. Lonergan has great contacts up there in Queensland & Huni is a Queenslander. Lonergan also has experience in developing Joseph Parker's career as a H/W contender all the way through to WBO champ so that looks like a good match to me.

I'm not quite as high on George as some but the consensus view of the Stifler's Mum thread is that he's right up there. Welcome to the rarefied air of the top 3, George. 4. Andrew "Little Leprechaun" Moloney 21-1(14) - Can get back in the saddle although I'm not sure an immediate rematch with his conqueror will end in a different result. The Little Leprechaun is 21 and 0 as an Aussie. He's 0 and 1 as an Irishman. 5. Justis "Juice on the Loose" Huni 0-0(0) - We should be celebrating our first ever Olympic boxing gold medal right about now. Curse you, Covid-19. 6. Jai "Time to Fly" Opetaia 19-0(15) - Glad to hear he is headlining in Brisbane in October. Needs to establish regional supremacy, then go after a world title. 7. Liam "The Lion" Wilson 7-0(5) - I like this guy to go all the way. I really do. Question marks over his chin & overall physical strength but I think he's got the skills to pay the bills. Wouldn't mind seeing a local showdown with Gorgeous George @ lightweight. 8. Michael "Z is for Zorro" Zerafa 27-4(16) - About to be tied to the tracks with a Tool Train approaching. 9. Cesar Mateo Tapia 12-0(7) - Can fight. It's a shame we don't get to see him do it often enough on Australian TV. Would like to see him take a broom to the local Super Middleweight ranks. 10. Liam Paro 19-0(12) - The Prodigy deserves a top 10 spot for consistent good performances against decent opposition. 11. Daniel Lewis 6-1(4) - Drop Bombz needed to beat Fundora in America to move through to the next level. Big ask, figuratively & literally, but he's one to watch when things resume. 12. Sam Goodman 7-0(4) - Brock Jarvis gets all the hype, but I like this bloke. And b/c I'm doing the list, he's on it & Brock's not. He's also fought this year, Brock hasn't. In fact, Brock hasn't fought since this day last year. It takes more than Aussie journo media hype to crack it for a spot in the Stifler's Mum thread top 12.
Some interesting comments in that interview. Big wraps for Isaac Hardman as a sparring partner. He & Joel Camilleri did 40 rounds each with Junior Tszyu in the lead-up to the fight. I think the fact that Jamie Weetch hadn't fought since 2018 played a big role in the one round demolition job but he gets high praise from Team Tool Train. Both guys won well on the night. They also did another training camp in America in January to begin the year. They did two of those last year (three if you count the Manny Pacquiao preparation). They are looking for international opponents with a name next up & may go again in Townsville where they can get a crowd (there were more than 15,000 for the Horndog fight). That might rule out Michael Zerafa as a potential opponent but presumably leaves Dennis Hogan in. From the sounds of things though, they're looking for the biggest name they can get @ Junior Middle who's willing to come out here so they can sell it as a major event.
