How on earth is that going to prepare him for Joyce, Whyte, if he’s not careful he’ll prepare him to fail when he steps up as he did with Yarde

Put your gloves up, get punched on the arm, go down, get right up, put your gloves up, get punched on the arms, go down, repeat, go down again, because you think they'll stop it with the three-knockdown rule, but the bell rings, so you go back to the corner, come out, go down from a punch to the arms, get right up and say you quit.

I'd rather have just watched Dubois spar. At least the sparring partners don't just fall down from getting punched on the arm.

David Haye taking the Warren hype dollar and saying this was a perfect way to prepare for Joyce in October, Give me a break! There’s more chance of the heavy bag swinging back at Dubois than these blokes Warrens feeding him.

You're in for a rude awakening. Dubois is legit and up for fighting top 20 fighters without issue. What he has is an incredibly **** risk adverse skinflint promoter who makes everyone he's involved with look bad.

All that said it's Joyce that had to be coaxed into taking that fight not Dubois. He was the slow as molasses can crusher who hid out in the amateurs feasting on relative novices rather than test his mettle in the pro ranks.

 

Warren is taking all steps to ensure that Dubois doesn't get upset along the way. If he finds the right shot against Joyce it's cashout time in a big fight. Warren is willing to take the risk against Joyce but he can't have any possibility of that fight being jeopardized hence the shameless duck of Pfeifer. Unfortunately I do give Dubois a decent chance against Joyce, Dubois is younger, hits hard and Joyce as we all know is there to be hit. Hopefully Joyce can stand up to his power and take out glass jawed Dubois with his own power shots.
