I agree to an extent but the only truly world class guys Whyte has been in with he has been iced. I don't really class Parker as world class, top contender but not world class.
He did with Rivas who no body knows within the casual market Lets not talk of this again in case someone from Matchroom reads it and thinks its a good idea
I remember Peter Fury once saying that Whyte and Hughie were friends and would never fight each other. I'd back Hughie on points, Whyte isn't KOing him and Hughie would probably make him look bad.
Hughies underrated...only guys beating him are no mugs. One of his problems is hes jumping from british level to guys around world level. Badly needs european level fights and to strengthen his body up etc. Think guys are jumping the gun on dubois. Whyte would be too much for him atm. Gorman defo not above chisora or price. He,d get battered. Boxings like any other sport. The higher the competition level the worse you,ll look. Stick whyte in with the guys dubois been fighting...he,ll look like mike tyson. Same way hughie fury knocked out sam sexton. The difference is these workd class guys like povetkin dont give you the same oppertunity and dont go over often when you do take the oppertunity
Paint Dry Parker never dethroned a Champion in the ring and delivered nothing in the Joshua fight. The only excitement Paint Dry produced in a UK ring was nearly knocking out PED Pudding Whyte. Parker and Whyte belong to the Hall of Puddings
I think dubois will do a number on him tbh. Joyce a knockout waiting to happen....hes almost a perfect opponent to look good against for dubois or a perfect opponent thats actually pretty decent. I reckon joyce is gonna come apart against a big guy who,s a good puncher especially a guy with decent speed... pretty much the tools dubois has. Dubois gonna be good. Hes just never gonna be experienced enough...when the going gets tough to be as good as people think. When guys dont just fall over. When guys start setting traps on him. What we,re seeing is him beating up basically part time boxers. Guys that cant compete with him physically. The tables will turn when they can compete with him physically tho.
True but you can say that for alot of prospects. Does feel like they are trying to build a KO reel rather than give him different tests.
Whyte has trouble with big punchers because he's not very durable. I don't think he would have much problems with Hughie. I said Povetkin was gonna stop him before they fought.
Hughie has the superior boxing fundamentals in comparison, he’s a much more skilful fighter...but he lacks the aggression, and variety and power in his shots. This will obviously improve as he gets older. At the moment though, he’s not sparking Whyte and he’s not going to score points for ring generalship and effective aggression either. Whyte can’t effectively close the ring off, he would look poor and he’d miss a lot but you’d have to go for Whyte getting the nod from the judges has he’d be the one trying to force the action at least.
