I prefer to watch him the micro adjustments he makes on the fly are what makes him special, they are both very similar in their composure they show in the ring, Crawford doesn’t trade because he’s losing it he trades because he likes to even though it might not always be the best way to get the win. Floyd avoids trading because he doesn’t have to he found the winning formula. That being said I’ve become very frustrated with Crawfords level of competition, he is wasting his career away.
In terms of talent I don’t think he’s miles away from Floyd but Floyd was constantly in the big fights proving himself (sometimes controversial) the same can’t be said of Crawford, it’s a crying shame to see him wasting away his prime.
So the answer has to be no he’s not as skilled because he hasn’t shown it at with enough quality opponents because he hasn’t been active enough or fought enough true elite competition.

Crawford can do things Floyd couldn't do, like switch stances and be comfortable fighting either side.

And Floyd did things that Crawford can't do, namely the shoulder roll.

    It's all subjective.

In terms of consistency and being able to display their all-around skills, who do you think is better?

I mean it's Floyd of course.

Not to say he didn't have his own hiccups with Castillo, Maidana, and ODLH fight was close.

Crawford ain't done yet either, he still have time to make his own mark and fight big fights and prove himself. Beat Spence, Taylor, move to 154. There is alot he can still do and show his skills.

No, he doesn't have the defense like Mayweather. One ability he has similar to Mayweather is his ability to adapt in a fight.

Mayweather is probably the most intelligent American fighter I've ever seen. All the unique tactics and strategies he applied based on shoulder roll fighting style are all his idea and creation. Only him can do that.

He also has deep level of concentration and awareness. Those are the best among all his natural talents, IMHO.

I doubt he’s going to move up to 154. I see Crawford having a slightly similar career path to Andre Ward. Good enough, but nothing legendary.

It really wouldn't surprise me if he's remembered as much.

I'd like to see him chase the winner of Spence/Garcia and then rule the division for a while.

He unified LW and LWW but didn't stay in either long.

These are old posts and you should follow the coversation(s) if you want to understand what is actually being talked about and the context. To answer simply. Yes, Mayweather has gotten hit more than Crawford, a fact, not an opinion. To the second question, no, but Crawford also takes many more risks, the aggressive Mayweather got hit much more than the aggressive Crawford.

This is a thread for you to chime in with an opinion requiring no backing up (though p.s., stick with what’s popular), so it’s not really my crowd with the pointless back and forth. Why I usually only breakdown or analyse fighters with upcoming fights.
