Povetkin is highly impressive & deserves credit. Especially for what he is accomplishing when older & against bigger fighters.
Yet of course he was using PEDs: anyone who has, let alone busted repeatedly, has cheated & lied to gain an unfair advantage.
And the vast majority of athletes who attempt an unfair advantage get some advantage.

Still, he is excellent in what he accomplished.

The thing about the ostarine is that it is known to be put illegally in dietary supplements. Other athletes have proven that they ingested it unknowingly. I am not excusing Povetkin, but strongly feel that under the circumstances, it is the kind of thing where he served his time and we should be done with it.

The melodonium charge was pure bull**** for reasons described, and he successfully sued the Wilder camp for the cancellation, 100% vindicating him.

    These things DO have nuance.

You are intentionally being foolish. Every other person can understand what I am saying.

And, what part of "Povetkin is responsible for what goes into his body" did you know understand?

Really, grow up. I do not have the inclination to get into it today with an idiotic troll, so go ahead and get your last word in...I won't be reading it.

Boxing fans are usually ridiculous shitting on fighters who lose but also hating on fighters who dosent take risky fights.
    At least in message boards.

Whyte's footwork on the back leg looked terrible. Flat footed and constantly crossing over his feet.

The knockout of inevitable. He really needs to work on using his feet more and stay on his toes. He looks so sluggish and slowtimes.

It will be a massive shame when Povetkin retires. His amateur boxing and kickboxing career is brilliant. I respect everytime he is fighting and enjoy every fight. I really hope he gets a title shot before he retires. He deserves a shot.

It's possible. He didn't look hurt by the first at all, and didn't look that hurt by the second one. But he was getting dropped.

I rewatched the AJ/POVETKIN fight recently, and Povetkin has lost a considerable amount of speed in the last 2 years, and I've noticed he looks like he's gained at least 10lbs. Probably to gain some strength/power to make up for his speed reduction.

A well-placed shot or a well-timed uppercut is one of the best ways to earn respect

It’s that type of lack of respect that got Whyte knocked out. Everyone who faces Whyte will always know you can get him out of there. How anyone thinks of Povetkin as a warm up is beyond good sense.

Whyte's never going to have good footwork. He just doesn't have the natural coordination/athleticism or understanding to implement it in the way you suggest. His best bet is to focus on those things he does well at the moment and eliminating those things he does poorly, the lunging, the overselling on shots etc.

Agreed on Povetkin. I never used to be a big fan of his but I've really come to appreciate him in recent years. He'll be missed when he's gone.

So prior to updating their rankings The Ring Magazine had it

    Champ: Fury (Brit)

    #1. AJ (Brit)
    #2 Whyte (Brit)
    #3 Bootleg D
    #4 Ortiz
    #5 Fat Andy
    #6 Povetkin

    Now they have it

What can a Russian brother do to get some respect, huh?

Firstly, how in god's name did they have Ortiz over Sasha Povetkin when his best win is Bryant Jennings and Sasha has a way better resume than him and he (Ortiz) got KO'd x 2 by D?

And then Povetkin sparked out their #2 ranked HW in highlight reel fashion in said #2's backyard in what will likely go down as KO of the Year (and he'll also likely win Comeback of the Year) and instead of giving Povetkin the #2 spot they hike up the guy who has been hiding out in the chicken coop from Whyte since biblical times and who should be 0-2 in his own backyard against the shell of Fury?

    Povetkin's last 5 fights

    Price in the UK
AJ in England who D turned down $100 M to fight
    Hughie in England
    Hunter in Saudi
Whyte in England who D has been ducking since biblical times

And Povetkin's spectacular one punch KO of Whyte>>any KO on D's ledger

And why is Ortiz ranked above Fat Andy when the later is 1-1 against AJ and Ortiz is 0-2 against D?

Ortiz is getting retired by the blessed fists of Sugar Robert Helenius in a few months time so no need to worry about that.
