He definitely looks the part, possess brutal power and the will to reach the top. However, I think if he does manage to rise up, it'll be like Deontay Wilder all over again. He relies on his power a bit too much; not enough movement or defense. But as a prospect, he's doing well. Has plenty of time to improve. What do you guys think? I made a short video of his career highlights / knockouts for those who are unfamiliar This content is protected
He's never impressed me or made me think he'll ever be a top tier heavyweight even before Kiladze dropped him. He stands right in front of opponents after throwing and is there to be countered, which he's gotten away with due to his height and reach but as Kiladze proved he can still get countered. He also doesn't move his head and his footwork in minimal, he shows no lateral movement and backs up in straight lines, basically his defence is non existent and is solely based on his height and reach and offence to keep opponents off him. Once an opponent gets inside he's in trouble as he's too slow to get out of the way and will just back up to the ropes and get hit. I say he's on Kownacki level at best and will likely lose before he gets a title shot, unless of course he's handled very carefully and protected before he gets a shot.
He looked like a million bucks against guys that hardly hit back, but it seems like he can't take what he dishes out. Don't think he's the goods
Looks a bit lost without the bomb squad in his corner. Needs to ring Haymon, and beg to come back to Alabama for further training.
What do you mean looks the part? He's limited as fk even over D level opposition put in front of him to build up his profile .. sure he can improve but what I've seen thus far from the Nigerian makes i.e & up & coming Sam Peter look like a peak Floyd Patterson LOL
What Efe needs is the late great Curtis Cokes training him. I watched him turn Ike Ibeabuchi from a crude brawler into the consumate boxer puncher. Was tragic how Ike's life turned out. I dont know if his current trainer has that expertise
