Is Fury frightened to fight again?

There has been almost daily messages from Fury that he will brutalise Joshua, Wilder, Povetkin, Whyte, some wrestling guy.

Does anyone get the feeling the Fury is flying as high as he possibly can after the victory over Wilder and is fearful of getting into the ring again as there is no way he can match or equal that performance once more.

Fury has never been a knockout puncher, yet he demolished Wilder in the rematch. He didn't demolish anyone of note in any fight since Vladimir and that fight was universally regarded as one of the most boring fights ever. In fact, Fury was regarded as a boring boxer in general.

I think that Fury knows he is at his absolute height of hype at the moment and any fight after this is going to compare poorly against that performance in the second fight against Wilder. Even a third fight against Wilder is unlikely to see Wilder deliver such a dismal performance once more.

I think that Fury needs that third fight against Wilder as much as Wilder needs his chance at redemption as I don't feel that Fury can provide a comparable performance against any other top 10 heavyweight.

No - he's adaptable, really tall and freakishly fast. That does not mean he will use the same tactic in every future fight or that he won't lose one at some point. Unless he freaks out again and disappears he'll do real well.

Fury is trying to sign a third fight with Wilder, or alternatively Joshua. So no.

Kind of funny interpretation of things. Fury has now beaten two of the three main rivals of his era, who have the highest and fourth highest KO percentage of any heavyweight champions, and you interpret that he is afraid.

    All right.

He wants to fight asap, I saw him calling out Drew McIntyre on Facebook. The Gypsy king fears no one.

I am saying that he is afraid of not matching the performance of the second fight against Wilder and is therefore avoiding committing to his next fight as long as possible so that he can milk the celebrity of his last victory. What is difficult to understand about that.

I don't understand where the hell you get it from. You pulled it entirely out of your ass. I understand your idea,it is just a poor one.

It is WILDER who is eerily silent there days, and Fury who is pushing anyone he can to get a fight signed. He said openly, with Warren present, that he is going to fight this year regardless of who he can get, and Warren said that he is going to make it happen.

So relax. It is better to check out what is actually going on in the world rather than your inner voices.

The covid down time has not been good for him. He said he hates sundays, but every day has been a sunday for him since he cant fight anymore.

Well my idea has more validity than yours regarding Fury's willingness to fight. We talking here about someone who has never defended any belt (and we are not talking about some imaginary belt). I will believe Fury's willingness to fight anyone when he fights more than one top 10 ranked fighter every 5 years.

Uh, he developed a drug habit and temporarily retired. It happens. Nothing to do with the present.

Look, you pretty much make your reality in your own head. Your idea is dumb, and the problem right now, as everyone else in the world knows, is that it is hard to make big money on fights because there is this worldwide pandemic thing going on. But I can tell you won't understand the obvious, regardless of what I say, so I'm going to let you go.

Fury is fine, but have fun with your dumb thread.

Any whose fault is it that Fury developed a drug habit both recreational and PED related? Should we all now blame society??? Fury's problems are self inflicted so yes it is on him.

The same people who are willing to give Fury a pass are beating up Wilder because he has not been as vocal as he was before his loss. Hey, maybe Wilder is just taking time to reflect and reset and he intends coming back better than ever. However, in the minds of Fury fans, this is impossible.

Insults are easy, refuting an argument is however beyond the capability of those who's only refuge is insults.

It's actually surprising that Fury looks in very good shape after the lockdown. It wouldn't have surprised me if he'd flipped out and/or gone on an eating binge. But it looks like he truly has turned things around in that regard. When has he ever been this disciplined, and especially with no fight dates locked in? He's never looked more focused and serious about his boxing career. Strangely, the fear of reverting to an obese degenerate seems to have forced him to be a dedicated athlete, at least for this period in time.
