Old Schmeling? He was younger than Moore, Walcott and Louis - the best fighters that Marciano beat.

Well Marciano didn't lost against LaStarza even knowing it was close while Rocky beat him badly when he was finished product and not green.
Farr outjabed Louis even knowing he came with both hands broken and deserve a draw and that was prime Louis not green Marciano.
And Louis didn't revenge that in rrmatch clearly!

But Schmeling was much different than Marciano, he countered Louis and played the game that Rocky wasn't capable of.
Schmeling had also much better defense than Rocky.
    He wasn't.

He was well past his prime in the first and even more in second!
He was not younger in second and came only from losses. His prime was to 1933 and yet he beat Louis after that. When he faced Louis he came from layoff and tons of losses.
Walcott and Moore were atleast fighting and acutaly won some fights while Shcmelling didn't!

Schmelling was nothing more different than Marciano but was worse version of Rocky and alot.He countered Louis and sodid Rocky and Marciano with his better chin, stamina and two fist would play the game even better than Schmelling.Rocky was capable to do better.Shcmelling didn't have that good defense since he was knocked by slugger like Baer with haymakers while Rocky had much better bob and weave from crouch and it could last full 15 rounds.
He was two times in early rounds when Godoy caught him right on the chin

Have you seen the fight? Schmeling was briliant in the first fight, probably his best filmed performance.
I agree that he was past his prime in the second fight.
Just before the first fight, Schmeling beat the 1st ranked contender Steve Hamas in brutal fashion. He also beat Paulino Uzcudun and Walter Neusel, both very solid contenders at that time.

Before the second fight, Schmeling beat Harry Thomas, Steve Dudas and Ben Foord. All of them were decent scalps and Max knocked out all of them but Foord who he dominated. Also, after the loss to Louis Max won the European HW title.

So you are actually wrong, Max wasn't losing at that point at all.

Schmeling was a patient right hand counter puncher, the complete antithesis of Marciano.

Yes I saw the fight clearly!Schmelling showed nice performance but nothing better than Rocky showed against Louis or Walcott.Even there he was past his best.He didn't show anything that could make me belive than he was better than Marciano.
In the first fight he was a bit past his best!He came from losses against Max Baer and Sharkey twice!Best win was Ulcu who was nothing but contender and Mickey Walker an old and fat WW who move to Hw which is weak!
Before the second fighthe didn't fought anybody notable but bums from germany and one aberage contender then came after one year laykff when he was ancient to face Joe Louis and still Louis needed to land 30 blows straight to his had to put him down shows how overrated Joe was.

Schmeling was 30 when he beat Louis and had won his last 3 fights.
He was 32 when he fought Louis the 2nd time ,and had won his last 7 fights ,5 by stoppage.
Why don't you do some research before making these silly statements?

Schmelling was clearly past his prime in the rematch and it is a fact

So, you agree that Marciano and Schmeling fought in similar way? Or do you act like a coward only because it's me arguing?

Farr did not have hand injuries when he fought Louis.Louis did not rematch Farr because Farr proceeded to lose his next 5 fights!
Louis at 22 was a little short of his prime against the seasoned Farr ,who had 105 fights under his belt.
