In a perfect world yes that's how it should be, don't seem like thats the way it goes anywhere ever. Think we are not the biggest offenders imo. But if provetkin lands like he did second time round shouldn't matter. Wouldn't rule Whyte out bit past his best but still a brawler
No problems, eddie told that rematch quickly, so they might bang 50 days after day when Whyte get KTFO. Nothing wrong, ppvs most likely will sell not bad and after this fight most likely december - january might be next fight for Whyte with another guy. Eddie likes fight cards with Whyte on them.
I think Povetkin wins again, simply because I just can't trust Whyte won't be gunshy, over cautious, mentally brittle and KO's like that sometimes take a while to get over.
It’s a scoring system that’s purpose built for ambiguity. Sort that out and it won’t really matter who’s scoring it.
Everything has floors my friend and boxing is no different. Was a great trap provetkin set and timed it like clockwork but even if he was to beat Whyte again still doesn't make him top shelf material. Just not there mate
Povetkin is shot beyond shot, he looked pathetic , slow and barely able to pull the trigger and still had enough to ice the non entity Whyte , the pure definition of a Brit Hype job, if you go life and death with club fighter Chisora your goose is cooked.
Povetkin still has tallant definitely, ageing fast but no caurbord cut out. Was never a top tier fighter tho , amazing uppercut in the last fight tidy. Could he do it again? Would he get a chance to pull it off against the top boy's. Probably not imo
Povetkin? Prime Povetkin was top tier without doubts. Ofc now Povetkin looks was out of prime even 2 fights before A.J fight. Something like pre retirement Povetkin, I assumed that he will retire, nope, lurk, yeah surprise, fight scheduled vs Whyte.
Povetkin ofc might land not only uppercut, nice hooks, straights, half hooks. With Whyte this maybe might work again. After this, difficult to guess how long he will be able to compete. He's 41.
With eddie maybe in case if Whyte will get KTFOed again. Then I will not wonder if eddie will settle next fight. It's eddie.
In the top ten for his era but nothing too get overwhelmed with, solid fighter but never had the size to dominate the Weight division. Could see him beating Whyte again but that don't really prove much
I do not think that Povetkin wish or should prove something to boxing fans. His resume is very good and amateur resume too is impressive. Yes, Povetkin had lost close decision to prime Klitshko and later out of prime Povetkin lost to prime A.J who is much larger. This does not means that he was bad. If proof is only status undefeated, then only boxer from 50 ies Rocky Marciano " proved " because retired undefeated. Others, sorry, appears that had failed to " prove ".
