He's higher up in Sky boxing now so I think he must have took a step back from TV duties.

He is the producer of Sky Sports Boxing. Agree excellent pundit and presenter.

He sufffered with nerves so decided he preferred being behind the scenes.

He is still a big figure there,it was a personal decision which he has spoken publicly about.

Wasn't aware of that. Like others, I just assumed he wasn't seen to be towing the party line and they favoured the famous ex-fighters.

Glad to hear he's doing well there. Hopefully he'll be the man to replace Adam Smith when the time comes.

It appears Andy Clarke is being 'groomed' for that role.

Not sure he will. Sky love soundbites and Andy isnt realy that style of commentator. His boxing knowledge is fantatsic though and he is a proper fan of the sport.

They'd have to get a new lead commentator if Clarke isn't being primed for that role, Ed Robinson wants to work behind the scenes and Andy Scott is more of an interviewer.

Ed used to be seen out in clubs with Adam Smith quite regularly. It seems like Adam has to take a personal interest in you if you want to stay with Sky Sports boxing department. What that interest involves other than boxing knowledge and the ability to articulate I wouldn't like to guess...

That's a pretty bad card but that was a fight with a lot of close rounds, so it's not a totally wild card. At least shows he wasn't displaying bias to the home fighter I guess...

if he was to watch the fight again I'm sure he would have a different view.to have prograis winning 8 of those rounds is absolutely shocking imo.

If you have 12 close rounds, two of you could have it a shutout to either guy and neither of them be bad cards. Alright this fight wasn't as extreme as that but you see my point. He would probably score it less wide though on second viewing, I agree. I wouldn't write him off based on that though, we all produce bad cards from time to time
