So who does beat fury ?

Joshua's been tarred with the same brush as Lennox and Wlad. People think he's some glass-jawed quitter with no fighting heart, despite numerous fights telling us otherwise. While Wilder is apparently some fearless warrior, despite spending the majority of the Fury fight wide-eyed with fear and back peddling for all he was worth. Just the way these things go sometimes.

6'3 or not he is under weight to carry the power to really make a dent in Fury. Let's be honest he is a fantastic boxer, totally respect him so slick it's unreal at times. But he has never been a powerful puncher especially against a bigger man. Would make an awesome match up tho

 

Wilder didn’t even have the guts to face Wlad in his 34th fight. Said he wasn’t ready for it. AJ takes him on in only his 19th. AJ is levels above Wilder. I always laugh when people say AJ has a glass jaw. Like are we gonna pretend that Wlad and Povetkin are pillowfisted asf and both gave him little slaps? Also getting up 4 times while concussed and not knowing which day of the week is isn’t showing heart I don’t don’t what is.

People loved to slate AJ and call him a quitter yet say nothing about Ortiz and Gorman who both spit out their mouth guard and didn’t attempt to get up from the canvas until the count was at 9 1/2.

 

You don't need to be some massive puncher to hurt Fury. Wallin did it and so did Cunningham. And Usyk's one of those guys who throws so much leather that he can hurt anyone with sheer accumulation. He was on the verge of stopping Hunter who's extremely tough and game, but spent the last round of their fight running away to avoid the constant barrage of blows heading his way.

 

Yh get what you're saying but Fury is pretty hard to land on as well for such a massive frame. The way I see it wilder couldn't keep him down in the 1st fight with his best shot, pretty much walked through them in the second. Usyk's that good maybe a points win but no way is he packing the power to put Fury to sleep.

If Fury is still in the shape he was against wilder be interesting to see how usyk takes it as well. Works both ways this one

 

I don't expect Usyk to stop Fury but I do see him outboxing him down the stretch and taking a decision. I actually expect Fury to look really clumsy and oafish if he ever fights Usyk, and I personally don't think Fury would be that keep to take on the job unless Usyk shows some major weakness in his campaign at HW.

 

Usyk does have a good chance not denying that.. making Fury look clumsy don't really see that If I'm honest, if Fury can't outbox him on the outside will smother usyk's work inside. Use his size to walk him down and not allow him the room he is normally granted. Maybe I'm wrong maybe not but that's how I see it

 

That's what I think as well. He'll basically have to roughhouse him to get the win, the way he did Cunningham and Wallin. Usyk is going to be a lot harder to pin down though.

 

Yep usyk has first class movement won't be easy. Like I said tho be a very interesting match up

 

The guy who will beat Fury is a big puncher-swarmer who throws 70 mostly good punches a round, and he is not in the game right now.

Fury will not be outboxed...he is an incredible slick, ambidextrous boxer.

Fury will not be knocked out with one punch. If that was going to happen, it would have been the twelfth round of the first Wilder fight, when he was only 60%. The man has the classic Larry Holmes/Joe Louis thing going on where he goes down, but he gets back up.

So, if not a boxer or a puncher...yup, a swarmer. Fury's one weakness is that he wins rounds sometimes by throwing 6-14 punches. So a big, hard-hitting swarmer could do it. No man is unbeatable, Fury is just really, really good (oh yes he is).

Ironically, Miller and Kownacki, the two currently most disgraced heavyweights, had the best styles for Fury, although I don't think either had the levels to be in there with the Gypsy King.

So again, the man who beats Fury isn't fighting yet.

 

now or in their primes? Prime Lewis KO Fury, wlad KO or UD, Vitali UD, Ali UD, prime tyson could also KO fury, bowe KO ,Holy UD.

 

Wilder can knock him out...if he listens to his trainer. Otherwise, at this point nobody. AJ will fall in 11, Ruiz by UD 12. Nobody else really out there imo.

Ali, Holmes, Tyson, Foreman, Frazier, Holyfield, 91 Bowe, Liston, Steward-era Lewis, Louis...all would have beaten Fury.

 

Before Fury beat him, I thought Wilder had the best chance by far. I didn't see how Fury could beat him.

Of the remaining in the current crop of top heavies, and even the next crop, I don't see anyone doing it.

I would actually give Wilder the best chance still.
