IMO he's still a solid shout for top 3 in the world. I really do see him KOing everyone below Fury and maybe Joshua. Joshua v Wilder is a 50/50. I fear for Joshua despite being better technically, he is still quite vulnerable. I don't know if he'd be able to avoid Deontay Wilders right all night. Who below the top 2 would you be confident would avoid being KO'd by Wilder? Wilder KO'd Ortiz twice, 1st time was disputable and lucky, 2nd time was just a clear good KO, no luck involved. Who below Joshua/Fury is that much better than Ortiz? Ortiz would stand a good chance vs Povetkin, whyte etc. I'm factoring out Hunter and Usyk because they're not proven heavyweights yet, certainly not enough to be ranked in the top 10 IMO.

1b with the costume injury, 1a when he reclaims his title belt from Fury in the rematch. Bodybuilder Joshua is 2c below Grandpa Ortiz and Ruiz's fridge.
I think he's anywhere between 2-5. Fury has proven his absolute superiority over Wilder but no one else has. Wilder could get beat but Joshua could definitely get melted by him as well. I also think Usyk and Hunter "could" potentially beat Wilder, but again, the danger is still there. Look, no matter how limited Wilder looks in the ring (and he's very limited), his right hand is an honest to God answer to nullifying nearly everyone's skill set. You don't have to be a fan to objectively see that (and I am most assuredly not a fan)
Honestly I think we need to see what kind of showing he puts up in the next fight before we can say what his place is. He's lost his 0, not just by being outboxed but by being outfought and bullied. Some guys may not come back from that kind of an arse whupping. If he puts up a good performance, win or lose, then we at least have so,e contemporary evidence against a top opponent.
That is true with Guys who were bullies and broke-down. Deontay Wilder had a bad night vs an Undefeated Emperor, more like the USA getting stopped in Upper Canada, he was stopped but not subjugated. Tyson Fury remains his only threat and only strategic opponent....Wilder will continue warfare vs Fury until he defeats him....Joshua, Whyte, Ruiz and Povetkin are great names but tactical obstacles at best, if Joshua is ever allowed to fight Wilder, he will walk into the ring knowing that he will be knocked out in a short time, so he might quit again after throwing his best shots. On the other hand Deontay Wilder knows that he is an Emperor who is there to defend his legacy, honor, ego and birth rite. Big difference between an Emperor and a Subordinate. You easily can figure out that Joshua is an inflated subordinate completely owned by advertisers, nobody dares to make eye contact with Deontay Wilder let alone tell him what to say.
