Ward is kinda right in his assessment. Just because Taylor is willing to fight in the inside, doesn't mean he has an inside game.
We need a taylor prograis rematch. Neither guy seperated themselves. That was one we needed 15 rounds. Taylor vs ramirez is a no contest unless they envoke ramirezs mexican priviledge and start talking politics. Then you know a robbery is about to be rendered.
Prograis can fight and the eye was ruined from head clash in round 7, Taylor’s inside game is strongest part of his skill set.
Depends. Duran type great, or Sweet Pea. No. But for today’s boxing. Taylor is easily one of the best in-fighters in boxing. Boxing lacks great in fighters but it’s Taylor’s strongest asset, hence unbeaten with two world titles with that style. very good at actually getting inside and then very good on the inside. Taylor is not an outboxer
Loma , Canelo , Joshua , Beterbiev , Warrington , Spence , Liam Williams.. Those are some guys who i think are better than Taylor on the inside. He's good but not that good.. He used his shoulder a number of times to keep Regis off him.
Just realized you said Joshua who Ruiz was ruining inside in first fight hence jab n move in second fight, Warrington has work rate but is levels below Taylor inside overall, Williams too. Spence, Canelo and Loma fair enough opinion wise. Juilian Williams also good inside, Chocolito too.
Lewis backed off behind a jab from Tua for 12 rounds straight. That doesn't mean Lewis wasn't good on the inside , he was one of the best at HW. . Joshua is very skilled in close. It wasn't wise for him to trade in there against a shorter faster opponent who is also a very good inside fighter.
