    Lamon Brewster

    1----Wladimir Klitschko
    2----Andrew Golota
    3----Luan Krasniqi
    4----Kali Meehan
    5----Tommy Martin

Krasniqi was once the European champion. I suppose not a bad win. 4 & 5 are just fill in the blanks. Like a lot of contenders of the last 30 or so years, a big win or two, a really big first win in this case, and then a very rapid fall off.

Kransiqui wasn't crap. He was a decent boxer. Lennox Lewis held him in high regard, for example.

Are Brewster's top 5 winer better than any of the champions today? Probably.

Cooney had solid offensive skills. If he had better defense and footwork, he could have been something.

Satterfield vs Charles was a 2 round war! I could watch Bob all day. Highly entertaining.

I didn't refer to him as crap. I was talking about Lamon Brewster's body of work, wasn't I? But if we are trying to talk about the attributes of Luan Krasniqui as a top 5 contender in someone's record, I'd say my initial assessment of body of work was valid.

No Cleveland Williams for Satterfield? Kind of shocked by that he had 30 plus fights he wasn’t a novice

Krasniqui was pretty good fighter. I'd say he was on Axel Schulz level skill-wise, hit harder than Axel, but had much worse chin and heart

better then Wilders and Ruiz I guess. But anyhow thanks for the idea for the thread. Hopefully can get ur insight into some of these...finally starting to develop a sense of the better contenders. Some are surprising...shocking even while others are disappointments where one struggles to get a bottom four from their top win.

I think after the top three there are four major names in the mix--Oma, Holman, Summerlin, and Williams. Williams would probably make the top five list if going by the overall career, but he was still years from a ranking while the others were or had been and would soon be highly ranked at the time Satterfield fought them. I have no disputes with any list with any combination of these four men.

I chose Oma and Holman. Others Oma and Summerlin and Williams and Oma. If someone chose Williams and Holman or Williams and Summerlin or Holman and Summerlin, I think Satterfield still makes the final top ten with any of these combinations. He has seven strong names.

Satterfield has very good depth. I think he must have beaten over 20 men who were rated at one time or another. I went through the NBA ratings and these men were among the top five contenders at one time or another:

Heavyweights--Oma, Gomez, Baker, Williams, Valdes, Summerlin

    Light-heavyweights--Smith, Barone, Johnson, Andrews

Middleweights--no top fiver, but Chuck Hunter was long rated and peaked at #6.

Would put Fulton and Jeannette over Firpo

    Johnson below Langford and McVea?

Johnson was a DQ win so many felt he shouldn’t be in there at all. But we could use ur votes. Currently voting Brewster and Satterfield although Brewster is very weak
