I don’t really believe in fighters being ‘scared’ of eachother - but Wilder’s rep and aura took damage from that defeat. Lots of his rep was based around what he is - exceptionally limited but freakish power. This, combined with being undefeated, gave him an aura of invincibility to an extent which has gone.

Fury dominated him last time around and showed how he can be beaten. That said I’m not convinced many other HWs could do what Fury did.

I don't see why Wilder would want it now. If he wins great, but if he loses then how does he explain the loss. It would be best for him to fight another style and start to win again and get Fury when Fury is at a different place and the fight will be different, and maybe his big punch can land. Even now Fury must be taking him for granted, but if Wilder loses what is left for him then?

Deontay deserves more time to prepare.

Hearn said Fury-Wilder 1 wasn't going to happen.
Heard said Fury-Wilder 2 wasn't going to happen.

    He's now said Fury-Wilder 3 won't happen.

I'd rather they didn't because we've seen two versions now, one with Fury being defensive, one with Fury being offensive and he won both. They just keep giving Wilder a chance to KO Fury and if you fight Wilder enough rounds you'll probably get KO'd eventually, even if you're better. They're really playing with fire doing three fights. Even from a legacy stand point, Fury would be better off letting Wilder go and KO a bunch of other HW's. Because if he beats Wilder again, it might seriously deplete Wilder and everyone will double down on the bum narrative.

Therefore Fury will have the Wlad win many don't count because Wlad was old and got tricked into not fighting. He'll have the Wilder wins many won't count because Wilder might not do much after being stopped twice, confidence ruined. AJ is already considered somewhat exposed, so victory there will be questioned. And these guys who were contenders when Fury fought them but ended up old opponents (Johnson, Hammer, Cunningham, Chisora), nobody will regard those.

"Won't happen" seems to be a never ending trend to hype fights. It has been used rather heavily after Mayweather vs Pacquiao.

Of course I think Fury would most likely win but Wilder is dangerous enough to have a chance. The kind of clash of styles I really love to see

It's down to Las Vegas and MGM

    They need the tourist revenue

If they can open and expect Christmas business then they will do it. The decision to delay or go ahead will be made early/mid October

I can't see them allowing sold out stadiums at the end of this year....

They will probably delay it. Which sucks massive dong.

This virus is a joke. Hasn't killed enough people to warrant the economic effects of a shutdown.

When housing evictions and mortgages default at the end/early next year we're going into a 2008 recession or worse.

Politics with the November election will further delay re-opening efforts.

I doubt either promoter wants it with the guarantees. Nobody envisioned no live gate.
