Round 1 Ugas 10-9, very close
    Round 2 Ugas 10-9
    Round 3 Ugas 10-9
    Round 4 Ugas 10-9
    Round 5 Ramos 10-9
    Round 6 Ramos 10-9, close
    Round 7 Ugas 10-9, close
    Round 8 Ugas 10-9

Ugas far more active, jabbing and following it up with combinations, but Ramos still remains dangerous, and landed a hard straight right late as well as several thudding jabs.

I don't understand why Ramos isn't going for it. Outboxing Ugas isn't working.

Ugas is skilled and I have him winning every round so far. Ramos is levels below Ugas. His only chance is if Ugas gets sloppy and takes chances. It’s not super exciting but if Ugas keeps the pumping the jab and controlling the action, this could be a shutout.

That last punch may have won the final round for Ramos, his only possible winning round of the fight. He was outworked and Ugas landed cleaner punches all night. Usas wasn’t out on his feet at any time. He ate a solid punch but this is boxing and it happens. This was NOT a close fight by any measure.

Yeah it is, Abel was landing the jab pretty consistently in the rounds I gave him, and following up on occasion, and Ugas didn't land anything all that eye catching. I don't think he did close to enough to win, but many of those rounds were very competitive. And yeah, Ugas was badly hurt, but Ramos didn't get a chance to follow up.

Thank god we have Anthony Yarde vs Dec Spelman next week because that was like watching paint dry. On the handful of occasions Ramos fought with a bit of passion and let his hands go he actually hurt Ugas, but for the vast majority of the fight he fought like he hadn't been informed a world title was on the line.
