A past it de la Hoya jabbed Floyd's wig back and won about five rounds. Imagine if the quicker, better conditioned, more confident and fresh De La Hoya was in there? He'd be lighting Floyd up with his quick shots and long reach. I can't believe anyone would think differently. Just goes to show how much Money Mayweather has you lot brainwashed.
Floyd was in his prime at 140lbs and had some serious power at that weight. At best I could see DLH winning a close decision but I don't see any 140lb fighter "beating Floyd's a.s"
Just shows how one dimensional your thinking is. Don´t you think Floyd would take a different approach to a younger Oscar? It always makes me laugh when guys see a fight, then imagine under other circumstances fighter B would fight a completely different fight and win because of it. While being adamant that fighter A would still fight the same fight. Just not the case.
A lot of his opponents (had they have been in their prime) would have beat him up bad. Oscar and Manny most notably!
Might well do. Before he a coked up utensil abusing fishnet lover he was a genuinely great fighter. A faded version of his style gave Mayweather fits so it's not beyond the realms of possibility to imagine him not only winning this fight but doing so in dominant fashion. I still think Mayweather has too much about him not to make in fight adjustments and make it close but prime ODLH was one bad hombre. He's a tough out for anyone at the weight. Anyone.
Watch the fight with no bias. I rewatched it recently, and young Oscar outworked, and out landed Sweatpea clearly.
