Whyte has always had slow feet and a sloppy defence.

Povetkin had trained for that counter punch knock out for his entire camp and landed just at the right time (as he was starting to be worn down).

What Whyte does have is the heart of a lion and a will to win. As can be seen in his wins over Parker, Rivas and Chisora 2.
I would not rule him out of a rematch because of his fighting heart and will to win, as well as the fact Povetkin looks on shakey legs these days. Especially early on in fights, Povetkin is very vulnerable.

As I said before the fight that whyte is very hitable and the likes of wach and helenius were able to land flush on whyte I just knew Povetkin would too!

Unfortunately for whyte it was one of those he didn’t see coming which are the worst to be caught with.

I see the same outcome in the rematch too

I smell whyte vs chisora 3 happening next year

Agreed with this, although it was more of a paw out with the right from Whyte rather than an actual punch in my opinion which is why POV easily slipped and uppercut him.

Agreed it was an arm punch, poked out with no real intent, I don't think he was really in a good position to throw the right hand in the first place, much like the earlier right hand in the 4th which fell way short, but it opened him up anyway and Povetkin made him pay.

Povetkin is simply the better boxer. Athleticism, boxing skills and discipline. Whyte had and has no chance. Povetkin will KTFO Whyte again in the rematch.

The whole post-mortem analysis of this fight has been bizarre. Many British fighters, pundits and members of the press have been carrying on like Whyte was winning every round and either did get caught with a lucky punch or they're trying to insinuate he did. But what actually happened in reality is with the exception of the two KDs in round 4, and no one's denying Whyte had a very big 4th round, it was a very competitive fight from start to finish with extremely biased commentary from Sky, which to be fair a number of members of the British boxing fraternity have called out. I and seemingly most people on here had Povetkin up going into the 4th and to act like it was one-sided in Whyte's favour going into it is just patently dishonest. And that was against a way past prime near 41 y/o Povetkin who has clearly declined an awful lot.

KO aside in the rematch Chisora fought on even terms(arguably better) with Whyte. I wouldn't rule out him picking up the KO in the trilogy bout in which case do we see a 4th fight despite Whyte being an on an 0-3 skid? probably would have a few tune ups inbetween fights I'm sure should he lose to Povetkin but his career will be effectively over if he loses to Chisora.
