https://bit.ly/2ZlGio5 (Dagestani's react and celebrate Khabib choking out Conor Mcgregor)

Prior to UFC 229 (one of the biggest build ups ever)
-Conor gets instant title shot against Eddie Alvarez, Khabib fights Al Aiquinta instead.
-Khabib mad that Conor skipped the line, calls him a chicken. They have a few brief encounters and exchange words
-Khabib slaps up Conor's good friend Artem Lobov for calling him a coward online
-Conor storms UFC media day event in Brooklyn and throws metal dolly at bus which injured 3 fighters
-In press conference, Conor offered Khabib a shot of whiskey (which Muslims are forbidden to have). Calls Khabib a glass-jawed rat, an unbeaten amateur, called his dad a terrorist, says he will truly love putting a bad beating on him and expects a 1st round dominating KO.
-Slaps Khabib's hand during the weigh ins and aims a kick at his direction

During the fight
-First round Khabib took Conor down and put pressure on him by laying on him, gassing him out early
-Second round, Conor, the supposed best striker in the UFC gets rocked and almost dropped by a WRESTLER
-Khabib picked Conor up and slammed him on the ground
-Khabib proceeds to tell Conor "Let's talk now" and then pounds his face for nearly a minute straight
-Conor apologises in 3rd or 4th round, saying its only business
-Khabib takes Conor down in 4th round, pounds his face in again
-Conor gives up his back, Khabib chokes out Conor with a neck-crank and wanted to rip his head off until the ref stopped it
-Khabib throws his mouthpiece and lunges towards Dilon Danis
-Conor gets punched by two of Khabib's cornermen
-Ireland Conor fans get knocked out in Las Vegas
-Irish newspaper label Conor as an Irish B*tch

This was the worst humiliation in UFC history by a landslide. Conor came in overly cocky but looked like an even worse amateur than CM Punk. He was emasculated and completely punished and brutally beaten for 4 rounds in front of 2,500,000 households, and a live crowd of 20,000.

If we're being objective that's being extremely hyperbolic. Conor won round 3, 1 was pretty competitive. So in truth he despite losing and being finished has done better than the vast majority of Khabibs opponents. That's far from the worst humiliation in the UFC history.

Anderson Silva being brutally KO'd by Weidman while showboating.
BJ Penn causing Joe Stevenson to cry in the cage
Anderson Silva totally embarrassing Forest Griffin
Miocic totally dominating Ngannou after the latter was overhyped by the UFC with it being a forgone conclusion that he would get the win.
Matt Hughes rallying to slam and dominate Frank Trigg after the latter blatantly kicked him in the groin and tried to pile it on for the finish.

That's just a few examples off the top of my head.

Yeah I agree those were humiliating, especially the Silva one against Weidman and also the Silva against Griffin fight, where he later ran out the ring.

I just remembered Colby vs Usman. While the fight was not totally onesided, the fact that he talked all that trash and then got his jaw broken and sprinted out the cage made it embarrassing.

I think with the Mcgregor vs Khabib fight, maybe the fight was not SUPER embarrassing, but the insane amount of trash talk leading up to it made it a humiliating defeat.

Example, Israel Adesanya completely outclassed and destroyed Robert Whittaker, but Robert is a respectful, humble fighter who treats his opponents with class and dignity. So when he lost, people actually showed love and support. But with Mcgregor, he constantly insults his opponents, destroys property, swears consistently etc, so when he lost, people were quick to laugh at him and so thats why the fight was considered humiliating in my opinion.

HONORABLE MENTION
-Ronda Rousey not touching gloves with Holly, acting rude during the weigh ins and then getting her head kicked into space
-Ronda wearing a shirt that said "Fear the return" and then getting smoked in 48 seconds by Amanda Nunes
-Ben Askren vs Jorge Masvidal (5 seconds)
-Aldo vs Mcgregor was pretty bad
-Daniel Cormier crying was pretty embarrassing (the fight itself wasn't so bad, DC did well up until the headkick)

Covington is a showman/heel. I don't like him either really but the fact that he pushed Usman the hardest he's been pushed in the UFC was largely ignored. I don't really consider it humiliating considering he more than held his own for the better part of 4 rounds. Covington went away from that KNOWING despite the loss that he can hang with Usman and potentially beat him on another night.

I get your point. I just knew as a hardcore fan that Conor was going to lose, probably get totally dominated but he actually did better than I expected. So for me he exceeded my expectations as to how he would perform - thus not making it a total humiliation. You've also got to realize a lot of that is just shtick to sell tickets. I strongly suspect the bus incident was at least partially orchestrated to stir up hype for the fight but it went awry. Conor definitely has had a problem with lines of who he is and the character bleeding together. I like the new more laid back version, genuinely think the guy did some soul searching and has laid off the coke/drink a bit since that loss and some of the incidents that followed.

Conor was so lucky the round ended right as Khabib started to pound him.
Getting ground and pounded in round 1 would have been extra humiliating.

Conor should have worked on his cardio and ground game more. Either way Khabib would have been too much.

In my personal opinion he should have stayed retired after the Eddie Alvarez fight. He was still filthy rich. Could have retired as a winner, fixed up his attitude and become a good role model. Sure he is richer after the Mayweather and Khabib fights, but more people will remember him for getting his ass whooped, and he is always called a loser, coward etc (which I do NOT agree with)

I feel he has to beat Khabib in a rematch in order to truly redeem himself. The Cowboy fight was not that impressive and did less than half the numbers UFC 229 did.

Khabib has one of the greatest ground games in the history of MMA and has the strength of a middleweight, Conor simply doesn`t have the strength to match Khabib on the floor, he was handled like a child.

It was so satisfying seeing Rousey get completely schooled and brutally ktfo by Holly Holm. It made it even sweater the way she carried herself before and after the fight, hiding behind purple pillows and refusing to address the loss with the media etc etc. What an awful sportsman she was.

For someone who should be very knowledgeable about mma for Rogan to state that Rousey could beat 50 % of male ufc 135 lbers was unforgivable. He lost all credibility after that garbage he spewed.
