Depends which Ali turned up. The best one, wins by MD.

Well it would be similar to the Liston fight. AJ too muscular and slow, slow feet, Ali will use lateral movements, counter and hit him at will. You think fat Ruiz can hit AJ but Ali can't? The different is, AJ's running away and boxing from a distance won't work on Ali.

Fury would beat Ali, styles thing, but AJ just won't be able to get a clean hit in there. I'm talking about a prime Ali who still had his feet.

AJ would however completely destroy Frazier.

I just revisited this thread to see the conclusion and I never responded.

Anyway, it would not be like the Liston fight. Aj isn’t slow at all, he throws fast combinations and has good foot speed for his size. Ruiz was able to hurt AJ because AJ underestimated him and tried too hard to ko him. Plus AJ was right in front of Ruiz while he was planting his feet and committing to his shots. Ruiz definitely hits harder than Ali.

How can fury land on Ali but aj can’t? They have similar hand speed but the difference is aj has power. I like how Ali has never faced a skilled super heavyweight with skill and ko power but we’re just gonna assume he beats all of them because he’s ALI

Foreman wasn’t a super heavyweight, and that rope a dope wouldn’t work on someone with the superb boxing fundamentals that aj has. Also if you put 3 inches on foreman, gave him more skill, and 30 pounds of muscle Ali would’ve been steam rolled

Possibly...But Aj even at his biggest did not have 30 ;bs. of muscle on Foreman.
Besides Foreman often coming in dehydrated due to Saddler's foolish ideas, at least half of the weight differential is just due to being taller.
AJ in the mid 230's did not look any more muscular than prime Foreman, maybe less.
When he weighed 250 or so all that extra muscle hurt him in the endurance category.

I do not think Foreman being even more musular could have helped him.
Although not losing water weight might well have.

Right about the water weight affecting foreman in the fight, if he wasn’t drained he definitely would’ve had a better performance

Ali had a much better chin and was proven against much better opposition, AJ has never fought anyone as good as Ali.

AJ is a not a great fighter at all and Fury might out-box him, Frazier would have KO`d him too.

AJ is overrated and has never been in the ring with a fighter as fast as Ali was.

What`s going on here? Liston`s jab was longer and more powerful than AJ`s.

Foreman was more powerful than Ali and more powerful than most fighters AJ has fought, his chin really isn`t that good, Povetkin had him in trouble and was scored a lot of counter shots, Povetkin doesn`t have faster hands than Ali had at all.
