As I understand, Wlad is billed at 6'5, 240 + lbs. But even when he faces opponents of similar stature, he always looks like the imposing figure. For example, Wlad vs Pulev, Pulev was only an inch or so shorter and weighed heavier than Wlad, yet he looked like the much smaller opponent in the ring and was manhandled easily. Same with Wlad vs Pianeta. Pianeta is essentially the same height as Wlad (6'5) and weighs similar, yet he looked much much smaller in the ring. Same with Wlad vs Wach, except this time Wach is the taller and heavier man. So how does Wladimir always seem like the stronger and bigger fighter, even against evenly matched opponents?? Is it just the amount of muscle mass he is carrying?
Wlad is 6 ft 6 inches and a half. He looked slightly taller than Joshua, and he is rounded up to 6ft 7 sometimes. Pulev is 6ft 4.
That is correct, Wlad was never listed at only 6' 5" or anything like that. Also he was lean, all muscle, so the definition made a big man appear even larger.
He is just one giant MF. Size played a big role in why his style was so successful. At least 6'6 and being shredded helps you look more imposing.
6' 6" It's clear due to his size compared to other big fighters he fought who sometimes lie about their actual size, he was usually taller or about as tall as them. Fury obviously wasn't 3 inches taller, as Fury isn't really 6' 9".
So much wrong information in one thread. Wladimir Klitschko himself has stated numerous times that he is 196cm or 6'5'', but he has contradicted himself by claiming 6'6'' too. It's Vitali that is 6'7'' and Wladimir Klitschko is clearly at least 5cm shorter than his elder brother. He was notorious for wearing lifts - and billed heights mean just as much as they do in WWE.
Wlad himself claimed to be 6'5 and no taller. He is visibly shorter than a 6'6 AJ and shorter than a 6'7 Vitali. Question still stands..
He was a legit 6ft6 And Vitali was a legit 6ft8 too Both brothers downplayed their own height as part of mind games. Also, Wlad wore lifts in his shoes as part of the mind games to throw opponents off their game. He has maintained excellent posture all these years though. Mid 40s and still looks like a beast. Even with the greying hair and receeding hairline.
