Who has the better resume, who is the better fighter? Chocolatito has wins over Estrada, Viloria, Yaegashi, Sosa, Takayama, Niida, Cuadras, Arroyo and arguably Rungvisai Canelo has Cotto, Trout*, Lara*, GGG*, Khan, Kovalev and Jacobs Who has looked better in the ring, and who's beaten the better fighters? Discuss.
Chocolatito by a mile. He doesn't need PEDs, stacked hand wraps, rehydration clauses, catchweights and robberies to beat elite fighters. And he can do it when the other guy has had a full training camp.
Both were forced down our throats and continually praised when they were sub par. Reminds me of our last president.
Could you imagine a 5'9 160 lb version of Gonzalez? Man that skillset/IQ and style/ability at middleweight would be too much for even a boxing purist to handle. Chocolatito FTW
Gonzalez at his peak was breathtaking to watch. Incredible skillset and tank on him. Too bad he was only the size of the average American 8 year old child
The fact that you have to put asterisks in half of Canelo’s wins, in your own thread, should already tell you how tainted they are. Gift decisions do not make someone a great fighter, neither do bought ones... no matter if it’s the judges or pounds of “tainted beef” being bought. Great fighters don’t need hydration clauses, catchweight clauses and can fight outside of Vegas. Chocolatito by a country mile.
Chavez Jr isn't great and Pac and Ray do have their fair share of controversies so it's fair to judge them based on that.
Leonard beat Hagler, Duran and Hearns without catchweights. The SMW/LHW thing was to form a new division, they got paid extra, not because Leonard was avoided LHWs.
