Just watched the fight and enjoyed it, thought Spelman was more tricky than expected. Yarde looked decent, he's got a strange style of fighting reminiscent of Eubank and does well with it.

Too quick a stoppage as others have said, that last round was good and could have continued into the next, but hey ho.

I like Yarde, he's exciting to watch.

I didn't say that at all. Yarde was swinging alot and we all know his stamina isnt the best. Spelman was more than fit to continue and who knows what could have happened if Yarde threw too much at it?

There are many times i have called for the ref to stop fights earlier but this certainly wasn't one of them. A boxers safety is imperative but at the same time this is a sport, if we always stop fights at that point we may as well go to 16/18 ounce gloves, headguards and just score points.

He's got 10 seconds to get up, and he did it within the allotted time. He wasn't falling all over the place dazed or with jelly legs as he did so. He looked lucid, put his gloves up, told the ref he was ok.

What more do you want? A recital from Spelman of Chaucer's A Canterbury Tales to prove he was ok to continue?

Yarde used to annoy me, well I suppose it was Tunde more so if I'm honest. Them ridiculous sound bytes Tunde & Yarde would come out with were a running joke on here for a while.
Yarde has grown on me tbf, he's a young man trying to make a honest living in a sport that is soo hard. What's not to like about that.
Really looking fwd to the Arthur fight. I'm picking Lyndon tho. I would expect Lyndon to employ the same tactics as they did against Dec. He will keep on his back foot and take away a lot of Yardes counterpunching style.
    Looking fwd to it.

He looked hurt, dazed and going by instinct
What more do you want, a death or brain injury?

I don’t think Arthur has enough pop to keep Yarde off him, he likes to lean against the ropes a lot which suits Yarde just fine, also Arthur can be hit, spelman had some success but Yarde hits harder and will stop him imo

Tbf I do think Tunde is a decent manager.
He's got yarde a massive payday against kov and also got him the Adidas deal (I'm assuming) amongst other sponsorship deals. He's got Yarde a boat load of money without having to lose a load of brain cells along the way.
Quite right tho, I just don't rate him as a trainer.

Spelman, although he got up before the 10 count had to push off the ropes to do it.

the ref made the right decision
