Tyson would likely stop him, but Povetkin would pepper him with shots and hold his own in stretches. Sooner or later Tyson beats him to the punch and clocks him with a massive left hook or uppercut.

Would be an awesome fight though, and probably more competitive than many people think.

I'm not gonna drop to my typical childish lows and behavior and make fun of other's answers that don't fit with mine and try and make those posters look silly with silly and degrading comments, it's time I grow up for once and grow as a person - and this thread is as good as any to start. To all - i value and cherish all of your beliefs and opinions on this topic, but I must say, the only result I can see is Povetkin getting pieced the **** up and afterwards being sent en route to a local trauma center looking like a head-butted a a bullet or Acela train, and may have won jugding by the mangled size of flesh and bone that consists of his dome.

I think Tyson is VERY wrong for Povetkin, to put it lightly and I am a big fan of both.

Mike Tyson faced only muscled boxers with very limited technical skills. Alexander Povetkin has a perfect amateur career and he is an olympic gold medalist, very good legs, head and body movement and technical skills which Tyson never faced before. Therefore Povetkin would KTFO Tyson in round 9 after chopping him up for 8 rounds.

In the sense that H2H, there are only a handful of boxers that stand a chance of beating him: Liston, Lewis, Bowe, V. Klitschko. Maybe even Foreman, although he was very slow.
    Tyson obliterates the rest.

You should probably pay attention to other heavyweights. Also Tyson was in no way even close to being invincible, ever

Apart from those that I mentioned, I don't see any others that stand a real/good chance.

    Yes he was.
