Avoid the early onslaught and then constant pressure and punches in bunches and eventually Dubois will fold, he hasn’t done 12 rounds that much

Get him in the ring first, seems to be problems actually making the fight.

As for tactics, I think try to push him backwards, make it gruelling, close the distance quickly, then grab, maul, lean on DD, pull DD around, make it dirty, and most importantly let his hands go.

Spot on. Neither is hard to find and if Joyce is just trying to avoid the early onslaught he is likeky to be caught and taken out. He needs to do exactly as you say. Whats Dubois like up close ? What is he like going backwards ? What is his stamina like ? Such a plan would test all 3. If he has all three then Joyce is fooked.

He's going to have to make him work, constantly. That's something that Dubois isn't used to.

He's got to make him uncomfortable, no breathers just in his face for 3 minutes every round hitting his arms, digging the ribs and the odd shot as he backs off. If Dubois doesn't get time to work he will struggle to throw his bombs,

Joyce needs to tighten up his defence to stand any chance imo.

People talk about an early onslaught but i think Dubois is quite patient, it's just he is always mismatched. Against Gorman, which was his biggest fight, he worked everything off his Jab.

Joyce can't just walk forward in striaght lines, swinging with his chin hanging out as he will get stopped early. He needs to show patience and take Dubois into the later rounds before cranking the pressure up as the fight progresses. Maybe spend a few rounds using some of the dark arts.

    Take away DDDs step jab.
All D's work is down to this power jab which he steps in with.
If you can take that away from D and force him to change his A game that's when well see how good DDD is.
He's never had to adapt yet hasn't DDD, the Step jab has served him so well that we don't know yet how much more he has to his game
Joe's best option would be to defend and counter DDD with a slip outside but this would take good timing and reasonably sharp reflexes which I'm not sure Joe possesses tbh. Catch/blocks and counters would be an option but this is not easy against someone as powerful as D.
Use circling and stay ahead of D by forcing him to move to his right is a good tactic but Joe has to time his footwork here to catch D on the 'half beat' I'm not sure Joe has this in him either.
Get D out of position through feints and then make attacks using combinations would be a good place to start imo or don't let him set his feet and Get in faster with combos are probably the easiest tactics to pull off for Joe.

Agreed. Joyce is bringing one style and one style only to this fight. There is no plan B. He’ll try and walk through Dubois, rely on his chin to take his power and overwhelm Dubois with his punch output and variety. I don’t believe Joyce as the technical abilities to force Dubois to adapt.

The interesting thing here will be, what happens if Joyce can somehow hold a clean shot off Dubois and keep marching forward? He’s a British version of Miller imo.

Ye thats it 20, Joyce just doesn't have the technical ability to overcome Daniel. We can all come up with the tactics to beat DDD but the fact is Joyce won't be able to do it. Yep, Joyce is going to do what Joyce does. Let's hope he can take some of that power Daniel is dishing out and he gets to let his own shots go.
    WAR.

I'm not sold on Dubois tbh and this is a huge step up in class from the bang average fodder he's faced so far.

Joyce is battle tested and has way more experience from the olympics and wsb.he's also more proven as a pro with arguably 3 better wins than anyone Dubois has beaten in Jennings,Ustinov,&stiverne which begs the question should he really be a 3/1 underdog for this? Well worth a punt on the juggernaut at those odds imo seeing as Dubois is still green and hasn't fought above British level.

Box him at range, but don’t back up and keep the weight on the punches make Dubois respect him, avoid trading at mid or close range and keep busy with the jab
