Agree, I think he has to apply constant pressure and back Dubios up , make him fight

get him on the back foot and into deep water. Once he tires he'll be in unchartered territory and won't have a plan B.

I like this fight. Joyce is there to fight. We'll see what type of resolve and durability Dubois has. Joyce's power, guts and chin to me is tested. Yes he's a little sloppy and slow. Dubois durability to me is a big question mark, and I don't know what type of energy he would have in a tough fight.

If I'm Joyce's hander I love this fight. He's older and needs a big win now. If I'm Dubious manager, no way would I take it. Maybe Dubious takes big shot in the gym that we have not seen? I like Joyce here via 4th to 6th round TKO, it would not shock me if its early.

Apply the blowtorch & wait for the other guy to wilt. If he gets taken out before that happens, so be it.

I was really impressed with Joyce's win in the Olympics against Bakhodir Jalolov from Uzbekistan who is now the clear #1 amateur Super Heavy.

Joyce withstood an early onslaught in the first but kept the pressure on. Something had to give & in the end it wasn't Joyce.

Joyce needs to land something fairly early and get Dubois respect to stop the normal blitzing style that Dubois has started with in almost every fight.

Once the initial onslaught slows Joe needs to start timing Dubois and taking the fight to him, push him back and take him in to the later rounds. Dubois has only gone to the end with Johnson who threw nothing back and just transformed himself into a heavy bag. How will he react to a bigger opponent who hits hard and doesn’t capitulate the first time he gets clipped.

We’re going to find out if Dubois power is real and if his chin is sound!

DDD has the better variety of combo punches & speed in letting his combos go. I think Joyce may have to eat 5 punches to land One on the night. Well see but I predict DDD TKO Joyce Rd 5.

Needs to try and punch Dubois in the face, bust up his nose. But I think Joyce isn't quite as durable as made out, I expect Frank's pet Frankenstein to grind the juggernaut down for a late round stoppage. Joyce has no defence!

I mean, Joyce might be a tad (barely perceptibly) slower but honestly it baffles me that anybody would consider him "the slow one" in this matchup. They're both the slow one. I'd grade their hand speed D- and F+ respectively.

The book on both of these guys for as long as they've been prospects has been identical: heavy-handed and decent enough technique offensively, but they punch like they're underwater and their lumbering, plodding fair is even worse (like they're wearing leg shackles).

Dubois is clearly a bit faster with his hands, Joyce does look like he's punching through water at times. Joyce is very good at dominating the ring tho, slowly walking his opent down and imo has the better range of combinations. Mixes his work up well between head and body.

Saying that dubois does have a little touch of Mike Tyson about him the way he comes out the blocks. So first 4 rounds are going to be crucial for him. But Joyce is a big step up for him, his chin is still to be tested be interesting to see how he takes a big shot. Deeper water then he is used to.

Like them both as fighters so just looking forward to it who ever wins. Still sitting on the fence 50/50 fight, really wouldn't want to call this one

I see it the other way round with Dubois having to take a load of shots to land his one shot.

Sure Dubois has the slight edge in speed but let's not pretend he's some defensive genius, he has no head movement and after throwing he's there to be hit. He'll get off first land his shots but then have to take a whole load in return as Joyce will no doubt out work him.

Dubois has to make an impact early in this fight or end up fighting a fight at Joyce's pace and once that happens it's an up hill struggle for Dubois. Dubois isn't going to be able to match Joyce for work rate so he has to back Joyce up from the opening bell.

He will need to borrow Oliver mccalls chin and try and drag him into a war... I don't think he can to be honest... He's so slow... He will be catching shots with his face all night.... I'm not sold on dubois yet but he's better than Joyce

Just queued up Joyce vs. Jennings and Dubois vs. Snijders in adjacent windows and..yeah, no, they're pretty much equally slow. :nusenuse:

That’s skewed by the fact he’s been in the sport a lot longer and is over a decade older than ddd, I find it difficult to see Joyce getting past ddd’s ridiculous jab.
I can see how people can say that ddd is overrated and his opposition has been to weak to be beneficial a lot of the time but that jab for me is something special and if he uses it effectively he will be a problem for almost anyone in the heavyweight division.
I can’t claim to have seen all of his fights but that jab is getting stronger and stronger, I could imagine him being susceptible on the inside especially with shorter mobile fighters, but it’s getting past that jab the power of it has always been there but he’s now added accuracy to go with it.

Doubis is slow on the inside but a lot quicker on the outside. Joyce is slow from every distance.

They don't hit equally as slow by any means and that will be very apparent when they fight.

That right hand is anything but slow
