Sorry but when Wayne Bethea knocks you down hard, flat on your back, and you take the entire round to recover you arent surviving against Tyson. Folley is being ridiculously overrated by some on here. Did Folley ever beat anyone of Patterson's caliber much less stop them (his only chance against Floyd)? I think not. Patterson would beat Folley. No doubt in my mind. Tyson would slaughter Folley and it wouldnt be competitive.

I'm referring to how he conducted himself in the ring.
Folley was top ten ranked for 9 consecutive years ,for 4 of them he was in the top 3.He deserves more respect.

Fee Fie Fo Fum, I Smell A Dirty Bum, you are correct in your post, he will never be a ATG.

My mother who was a LPN Nurse, took care of Zora Folley after his tragic pool accident at the local hospital in my hometown. She told me that his family loved him very much, they were classy people who were nice and polite. A brain clot took his life, he never regained consciousness. He was a hero in our state.

Nope, he can do it on his own. Even 90s one-dimensional Tyson can beat him with ease, let alone a prime Tyson.

Folley is not among "the good fighters of the past". He's no Charles, Louis, Liston, etc.

Maybe he would have fought in a war, maybe not.
He certainly seems to love his kids and wife now. His first wife Robin Givens was a gold digging *****.

You're confusing Tyson with Ali. Ali was the one who beat his wives and humiliated them publicly.

But anyway, all these things are completely irrelevant. All that matters is how they perform in the ring, their personal life is completely irrelevant.

Compared to some, more modern ATGs, yes, I am a 'bum' too.
Folley would get his ass whooped very hard by some of the contenders of the 80s and 90s.

Isn't the troll getting fed a bit too much? Better to just ignore him.

You're right, Bokaj. I've tried to point out what a poultice he makes of himself with every post but it falls on deaf ears. It's not very interesting for me, it's not making him any less of a poultice so I shall save my energy for decent, interesting posters instead.

Now then. Given that I have created some time for myself, who fancies a quick thread on how Rocky Marciano would get on with modern, larger heavies? Has that been done yet?

No, so it is in the public's imagination that Tyson beat Robyn Givens. You are just crazy about him. No man has the right to assault a female no matter what or how she is. So what Tyson did was okay with you? I favor a lot of fighters but harming a female is not okay in my book. Like I have said before, I am not afraid to speak my mind. What did Mike Tyson ever do for you? Did he pay your rent or something?, he was just a man that was short lived.

It's not about me being crazy about him, it's about the fact that there is no definitive proof he beat her. He might of yelled at her and been verbally abusive, but I doubt he punched her or anything like that. She'd be dead if he hit her in a fit of rage.

I never said it is okay.

    No proof he harmed her.

He still assaulted her, a real man does not assault women, I hope that is not something you would do. if you did, you are a severely disturbed individual who needs professional help, obviously you approve of his behavior. He was just a flash in the pan novelty. At least Muhammad Ali and Floyd Mayweather were legendary, they did not need someone to hold their hand to be great, Tyson did not last very long as a champion, James Buster Douglas proved he was flawed.

Are you that thick ??!? I do not approve of anything, my point is that someone's personal life is irrelevant, I only judge boxers by what they do in the ring.
And by the way you phrased it, you seem to approve of what Ali and Mayweather did.
Tyson was brilliant in his prime, he was no flash in the pan. It's a shame he lost his focus and dedication.

He is still a flash in the pan for his actions too in the ring. Losing his prime at 23, Ha Ha Lol.
