Most of the memorable rivalries in boxing history were trilogies. What were some notable cases where the rivalry only consisted of a first fight and a rematch? Also, are two fights series that ended 1-1 inherently more interesting than a rivalry that ended 2-0?

Leonard vs. Hearns has to be the greatest example right?
    Pryor vs. Arguello
    Jermain Taylor vs Bernard Hopkins
    Lennox Lewis vs Hasim Rahman

Monzon vs. Valdez was one of the most memorable rivalries of this kind.

Oh, can't believe I missed it, the biggest one of all: Louis vs. Schmeling!

Sometimes it is better this way because with trilogies it holds up the best upcoming fights, kind of like watching a rerun on television.

    Good pick.
I'd also go Eubank - Watson.
