Faster.... FFS, even if Hopkins was faster, it's negligible. Barely noticeable. But you would never admit that. I have to step in here. Hopkins is no SRL but he is noticeably faster than GGG. Of foot and hand. That's one of his several advantages he has. Others being size and his savviness.
It's about respecting someone. You don't respect him, but you freaking love a guy who's beaten up women multiple times. I'm noty even talking about Hopkins v 3G, and NO, of course not all who picked Hopkins don't dislike 3G. Look at the vote and who I picked FFS. Gonna disagree on the speed. Hopkins was never quick on the hand speed. Just a tad above average I'd say. People exaggerate hand speed or who's faster all too often. UNless one has super quick hands like Floyd or Zab, it's pretty much moot.
What is your problem? Whether I like ggg or not is irrelevant. I would pick ggg over alot of fighters and have picked him to beat fighters before. You're clearly mad that I like certain fighters and have gone on record saying I couldn't careless about what a fighter does outside the ring as long as he doesn't kill or **** anyone. Ggg is a good fighter borderline hof do i think he's as good as some of his fans made him out to be no but that doesn't mean I think he's trash.

So based on your logic, Margarito would have been a great Middleweight, right?. I mean, he has all the height and reach advantages necessary... Do you know what natural weight means and how long it could take for a fighter moving up to be naturally fit into the new weight category?. Do you know that 2 pounds for you is nothing compared to 2 pounds for a professional athlete?.
Hopkins WAS the better man overall than Taylor but Taylor was good enough to fight a passive Hopkins on even terms due to his style plus being a world class fighter himself.

What you fail to realize is it's not just the fans for me i saw a guy who really beat no one of note who had the backing of networks like HBO making him out to be the second coming and when I looked closer I saw a good fighter but nothing eye popping and a below average resume. I was proven to be right. Ggg hasn't delivered against his biggest tests. Big deal im not a fan life goes on.
They hyped an exciting fighter at a time there wasn't a lot of excitement in the sport. YOU add the whole "Seconding coming" BS. YOU add your own narrative to the hype. Why should it bother you if a network hypes a guy? That's what they do FFS! geez... PBC hypes the Charlo's, who haven't done squat. Yet you love them. But I forget, you only root for P4P fighters and mainstream guys. Bandwagon anyone?
The Charlos are from houston my home. If ggg was from houston I'd ride with him to like i do for all houston fighters.
