It's official, Eddie's father Barry was in the flight log. Eddie did damage control after it was revealed. Eddie said something like he just had a heart attack give em a break lol
Faux outrage from the Hearn bashers who you know will be buying this potential pullitzer be it from waterstones, local charity shop or smack generator.
I wonder if there's a chapter on how he destroyed Kell Brook's career by setting him up against one of the most brutal MWs of all time. I suspect not.
To be fair, you can’t knock him. Some folk would be happy to sit on their hands and do nothing, knowing that fortunes await. He’s decided to work his bollocks off and put up with all sorts of crap that comes along with the boxing business. He didn’t need to, so deserves credit for what he’s done. He is also pretty good at it imo.
How to take over America! HAHA. Can't believe DAZN trusted him, Frank Smith and Joe Markowski with millions. Bunch of cowboys.
There's not just one mode of "working your bollocks off", though. He may be "working his bollocks off" (or he may not be), but he also has A) Complete control over the company's operations. B) A line of work that is quite clearly enjoyable. C) Public adulation. D) Significant financial incentive. I'm pretty sure that it would be harder to sit on your arse and do **** all than to immerse yourself into one of the most "glamorous" and "cool" (according to many) backroom positions in the entire world of sport. It's not like his family own the local funeral directors and you have to work your way up from a cleaner's position.
A tad naive wouldn't you agree? In terms of finance it's extremely lucrative sure but the work never seems to end and I bet it can/must be extremely stressful. Give the man credit where it's due. I know he's a bit of a cockney wazzock but one thing you can't accuse him of is him resting on his laurels.
Not even sure about that, it's not really in his interest to go into detail about that when he's still in the business. Hearn has never been one to shy away from airing details in public but publishing details about fight negotiations, fighters' purses etc is probably not something that he'll do. This book will just be an ego boost for Hearn, talking up his achievements. People are free to buy whatever they want but I'll be baffled by anyone buying this as a "business advice" book. I've generally been baffled for a long time by the "motivational talk" and "self-development" industry where shysters and charlatans charge premium fees for "training courses and seminars". I just can't understand anyone who invests in that sort of thing and this Hearn book is targeted towards that market as well as his sycophantic fans.
