Jaron Enis is a special fighter who I believe will become the much needed face of boxing. He beats everyone at 147 pounds if they fight right now, and if he fights them a year or two from now he knocks all of them out in emphatic fashion.
Ennis loses to Pac, Thurman, Crawford, Spence, Danny, Mikey, and Porter. The boy is big, but nothing special.
I think ennis will be a future p4p top 10 fighter but it's too early to crown him. He needs to fight somone in the top 10 at 147 then get a belt there.
Who knows how long if ever it will take for Welterweight to have a clear #1 among the current top 10. Time is on Ennis' side though so by the time the shitshow at Welterweight is sorted out he'll probably still be young enough to maximize his potential there.
I think he beats Thurman, but I never thought Thurman was all that... Don't see him about to make 147 forever and it might be a case of soon or never there
He good, but his last 2 fights have been against human punch bags. I want to see him in with a mover, or a skill boxer.
I gotta be honest, this was my first time watching him fight. I know Breadman is really high on him, but im not sure he's going to be that special. He's big, decent hand speed, real nice power, but not overly athletic or fluid in his movements. Flat footed, fairly robotic and mechanical in his attack.
I agree with @DonnyMo that he's a little too-flatfooted, but I disagree that his handspeed is only "decent." I think it's a bit better than that. He reminds me a little bit of Michael Nunn.
Is this the guy that struggled to put away a 5"6 bloated super featherweight in his last fight..calm down ffs.
He’s a decent fighter. Very leaky defense. Abysmal opposition. Best opponent thus far has been the 5’5 Eyubov, which was landing at will basically. if we think back to Spence on the come up. He was nearly murdering folk. Better opponents too. Ennis should make for a good fight down the line. If he doesn’t lose on the way. Opponents like these create delusions in the fighter’s. Doesn’t really help them learn what they are best at.
