First time in history a fighter on professional debut has challenged for a national title in Australia. Don't think it will be the last piece of history Huni makes.
Pulev fight ain't happening. Dinu will fight Frank Bluemle. Also Martin Murray will fight on the card against Orial Kolaj.
If I was Dinu I'd be pretty annoyed about that Miller fight. The chances of Miller being clean for that fight are about 0.001%. Mind you ... Dinu came into that scenario partly by not making the most of his window of opportunity early on and leaving his run too late. He should fight Ortiz for the prestigious WBA HW 'Wasted My Prime Messing Around' Belt.
Peter Kadiru will face Roman Gorst in a 10 rounder on October 10. Frank Sanchez will face Brian Howard in a 10 rounder on November 4.
I understand having an easy fight after the Covid-break, but the guy brutalized Amir Mansour is his 6th pro fight and stopped in hin 3 rounds. Watch that fight it shows his potential and how he operates. The problem is that he hasn't really progressed since 2018, I fear that the co-promotional deal with Matchroom had something to do with that (keeping him away from their cashcows AJ and Whyte).
Yeah HWs that aren't from UK tend to struggle under Hearn. Yes they have 3 of the 4 world titles, but their careers seem to stall as Hearn either tries to keep them away from AJ or Whyte, or he doesn't seem willing to splash any cash on opponents for these guys, hence why you see Parker fighting guys like Shawndell Terrell Winters and Hrgovic's opposition getting worse etc.
Yup, obviously they'll blame covid but lets be honest, Hearn has no plans for Majidov apart from filling up undercards on random American shows had covid not hit.
As superficial as this is/sounds ... Hrgovic would probably be better off with 20-0 behind him before he challenges for a belt ... in as far as it would resonate with casual boxing fans who have never heard of him. As long as he's fighting often it makes sense for him to elevate his numbers a bit during this down period.
I understand the point, but the problem is that homeboy might be regressing. He doesn't really look like he is interested in being there, and is certainly not displaying whatever it is that made him a much heralded amateur. A lot of people feel he was cheated in the Olympics. Maybe he is just in the pros for money? I don't know. Maybe he will come to life when he gets a notable fight.
