Duran was ranked No.3 by the ring magazine in 1997, in a list of the P4P best fighters of the last 50 years up to `97, Pep came 4th in the same list, which of them should have ranked higher than the other? Pep`s info: Quality of competition: 9 Bouts v Top 50 fighters: 1 Why he was on the list: He`s the greatest defensive fighter of all-time. What he could have done to improve his ranking: Engaged in his series vs Saddler when he was younger.
Duran for me, without any real hesitation. Pep obviously one of the greats, but I've long felt that he gets a bit too generous a placing by many historians, fans and pundits.
Do you have Sandy Saddler at 1, 2, 3 or 4? He took Willie to the woodshed and made him quit like a dog. In fact, Sandy actually had to pay property taxes on Willie’s house .... because he ****ing OWNED him.
Clearly didn't watch the fights the first pep got kod the second was supposed to one of the best proformences ever seen in the ring by pep the third pep was winning until saddler dislocated him arm and the fourth was just a bad fight by both sides. You clearly just saw the fourth fight and think ur a expert
Also did Duran ever beat a fighter as good as Saddler P4P? Leonard wasn`t great in his first fight with Duran at all.
Three out of four. I’d say KO’Ing Pep in four rounds was probably one of the best performances ever — it’s like Sanchez over Gomez x1000.
Duran was greater. He dd the miraculous thing of moving up in weight obtaining additional championships.
