There will be a MAJOR and EXCLUSIVE announcement concerning the fighting future of none other than Jeffrey "The Horrible" Horndog on the Stifler's Mum thread early tomorrow morning Australian eastern standard time.

I say MAJOR and EXCLUSIVE b/c Horndog himself hasn't decided what he's going to do yet. So the Stifler's Mum thread will be deciding his future for him. Right here LIVE & EXCLUSIVELY tomorrow morning.

Unlike the mainstream sports media in Australia, we don't make up stories on Australian boxing. We keep it real, tell it like it is & more often than not, get it 100% right before anyone else has an inkling of what's going on. So that's what we will be doing early tomorrow morning.

BREAKING NEWS on the Stifler's Mum thread!

Former King of Australian boxing, Jeffrey "The Horrible" Horndog AO, will be RESUMING his storied & decorated professional boxing career in the New Year!

That's right, folks. While friends & family are fiendishly twisting his arm trying to get him to retire, here on the Stifler's Mum thread we're saying "no". In fact, not just "no", we're saying "HELL NO! HORNDOG WON'T GO, quietly into the night"!

A few things have changed for what will be the final foray of Horndog's professional boxing career. Firstly, we weren't able to secure a train for Horndog & his fans to ride on. That's disappointing, I know, but all the big engines are hitched to other locomotives.

Secondly, we weren't able to secure a bus either. That makes things tough I know but no-one ever said a professional boxing career was meant to be easy.

The good news is that we were able to secure the next best thing for travelling in style during an Australian summer - an ice-cream van!

Expect friends & family of Horndog to attempt to nobble the van in a futile attempt to prevent its departure. But here's the thing - we're going anyway so get aboard while you still can!

Seats are strictly limited. You can either sit up front with me in first-class, in the seats immediately behind in second-class with friends, family & Kiwis who still believe in the Horndog, further back in cattle-class or right at the very back in Queensland-class. Be warned, they're not much fun back there but they do take their boxing very seriously. There may even be a few Seth Efricans among them.

We're not going to Undisputedville, btw. The routes into that place are chockers with Australians atm. There's a Tool Train on the railway tracks & a bus with a Big Leprechaun driving it on the road in. Instead, we're going to a place that's almost as good (not really, but it's still good). The destination of Horndog's ice-cream van is Alphabet City in Mu-Mu Land!

So sit down, buckle-up & get ready to go lickety-split! We going! Yeah baby!!

I am glad Horn isn't retiring it will be fun to watch him take a few more beatings.

 

Interesting to see that Daniel Lewis is in the mix to be Timmy Tool Train's next opponent. He only has a modest pro record but his fight with Fundora was much closer than the official scorecards over there had it & Fundora would be a nightmare for any decent prospect to take on.

So good fight in my book. Timmy Tool Train has just banished the best performed fighter off the 2012 Olympic team. If he follows up by beating the best fighter from our 2016 Olympic team it makes a statement.

Dennis Hogan as an opponent I like for several reasons that I've already posted. Beating the former uncrowned WBO Junior Middle champ would look good following on from beating the former WBO Welter champ.

I think Michael Zerafa will come back into the mix as a potential opponent when Victoria is open for business. Junior Tszyu v Zerafa in Bendigo is a fight I like the sound of.

Plenty of good fights there for Junior up & down the east coast of Australia. Why go out for milk when you've got cows at home?

Also looking forward to Justis Huni's pro debut. That's something to get excited about. If they can get him four decent fights before the Olympics (if it happens), it will improve his chances of a medal. I also noticed the latest World Amateur rankings didn't record results from the Asia & Oceania Olympic qualifying tournament. Get real, guys! Huni had a walkover result against the World #2 from Kazakhstan during that tournament that should see him seeded top 4 for the Olympics. Seriously, that Amateur organisation is shonkier than any of the pro outfits.

 

Daniel Lewis needs an easy profile boosting win. Horn is just the man for that. Can see Horn being used a journeyman "opponent" for upcoming Australian fighters at 154-168 for the next couple of years. Respect to Horn for embracing his true level as a fighter.

 

* Steven Spark fight Nov 14 will be now be a crossover fight with Top 15 WBC Muay
Thai fighter Chad Collins who will be making his pro debut. With COVID 19 many
Muay Thai fighters are turning to boxing to make a buck.
* Glen Jennings who managed Kosta Tszyu is open to Tim fighting in Newcastle
where Kosta fought numerous times.
* Justis Huni announcement Mon on his pro debut.
* Joe Camilleri vs Wade Ryan for IBO Int 154 lb Title been approved . All is
needed to get this fight on a program.

 

Justis Huni's pro debut is on 22 October (I think it's a Thursday). He's fighting defending champ Faiga Opelu 13-1-1(10) for the Australian title. There's nothing I enjoy more than watching a talented young bloke develop his career one fight at a time so I'll be tuning in.

Jai Opetaia is headlining the show so it looks like a good one. Huni has signed with Dean Lonergan which I also think is a good move. He's got good connections in the Queensland government in terms of arranging big events & co-promoted Joseph Parker through to the WBO title.

Covid-19 permitting, we might see some ambitious early fights for Huni given the better opposition he faces in his first few pro fights, the better prepared he will be for the Olympics (if it goes ahead). The further he goes in the Olympics, the better it will be for everyone & the sport in this country. If he were to win gold at the Olympics, his professional career would become the most eagerly anticipated of any Australian fighter ever.

 

Been thinking about who Justis Huni should be matched with between now & the Olympics to give him the best possible chance of claiming gold.

I like Australian champ Faiga Opelu 13-1-1(10) as his first fight. I reckon he could get in another three (maybe more) before the Olympics (if it goes ahead).

What about fighting the New Zealand champ, Hemi Ahio 16-0(11) after that? Knocking over two national champs in his first two pro fights would make a big statement. If the Kiwi champ isn't available, guys like Willie Nasio (former Australian champ), Herman Purcell & Christian Tsoye (very tough African who holds a win against Opelu & a draw against Joe Goodall) would also be worthy opponents.

I'd finish off Justis' Olympics prep with a couple of 9 and 0 guys in Willis Meehan & Ivan Dyschko as the next two after that. They're both tall southpaws who pack a wallop. Dyschko would be a massive risk but getting in 10 rounds against someone like him prior to an Olympics campaign would be the best possible preparation for it (assuming Huni doesn't get pole-axed in the process). Dyschko has won medals at the last two Olympics, is a very tall southpaw & has been largely inactive lately as a pro. He's the same guy who kept the current world #2 amateur Super Heavy off the Kazakh national team for big tournaments.

Huni needs experience like that against quality opposition if he's to claim the gold in Tokyo. We saw in his fight against Jalolov in the final of the Asia & Oceania Olympic qualifying tournament that there's a gap that needs to be bridged. It's an experience gap, not a talent gap.

They also need to consider sparring partners. Demsey McKean 18-0(12), Jai Opetaia 19-0(15), Arsene Fosso 3-0(3) & Joe Goodall 6-0-1(5) appear to fit the bill. Fosso & Goodall both medalled at the 2017 World Amateur Championships. McKean & Opetaia are both southpaws. You could also line those guys up as opponents but I reckon they're of more value as sparring partners to work collaboratively with. They are all based in Queensland currently except Fosso & he's now free to travel there from Canberra. If they don't want to take the risk of facing Dyschko in a real fight, they could also consider bringing him in for sparring in the lead-up to the Olympics.

 

QLD has overcome backwards leaders like joh bjelke peterson who held the state back for decades as well as a couple of looneys like pauline hanson and the like who fortunately have minimal support here and throughout australia and the true reason so many people continue to move here in droves from down south and all over the world is the better quality of life queensland has to offer

* Opetia wants to fight for IBF Title in 21 before likely move to HW.
* Jason Maloney being sparring with Sam Goodman and Luke Boyd before heading
overseas.
* Justis Huni if he wins the Aust HW Title wants to have another 4 pro fights before
Olympic's.
* Blue Coach Brad Fittler has being talking to Strike Force Raptor and hoping to help
our adults of tomorrow by reinvogarting every PYC in NSW. With Boxing to be a
large part of this program. Being a former PYC Gym rat i highly agree with Freddy.
* Michael Zerafa and Demsey Mckean added to the roster of the NewRound4Round
boxing video game.

The "Liberals" in Australia are actually the conservative party. Though the 2 main political parties in Australia aren't actually that much different on a lot of issues.

The "Woke" people in Australia tend to flock to Sydney and Melbourne. More so Melbourne it seems.
