Just like past-it Tyson pulverized Holyfield, not just once but twice while Old Foreman lasted the distance?

You guys are debating so much for a matchup that’ll probably be made again next week lol. Also foreman takes Tyson out inside 6 rounds, better chin, better power, and a style that is tailor made to beat Tyson

I used to be in the Foreman camp on this matchup. I changed my view. There are some differences between Tyson and Joe Frazier.
Frazier may have been superior in some ways but Tyson has gifts that Frazier didn't. Mike is more explosive, a two handed power hitter. Tyson was much quicker than Joe but he was quicker than Foreman as well. I think Mike has a better defense than George.
George won't be able to sit on Tyson's lefthook the way he effectively neutralized Frazier's. It would be a short, hight contact bout between two great sluggers.
In match like this I don't worry about who hits "harder"? Doesn't matter. The man who lands cleaner is gonna be the victor.
I think that is Tyson. His speed and combinations coming from both sides. He's gonna fuk George up.

Nope they were not and they never beat anyone good to mention and they lose against bums.
Hahhaa dumb man....past prime Tyson at 25 years old but Tyson who faced Stewart 40 years old wasn't past prime?
Yeah and Foreman went 12 rounds with Hplyfield and Tyson?

Now Tyson was "past his prime" at 24 years of age in the Stewart fight, but we can criticize Foreman for how he performed at 48.

But apparently it's the people picking Foreman who lack objectivity and logic.

    Sometimes the comedy writes itself.

People were actually comparing 24 year old Tyson to 48 year old foreman????? I must have read over that, some people on this forum are definitely on the slower side

Especially because the thread title literally says 1973 Foreman. Yet here we are.

In a Tyson vs thread, it's cool to pick out the worst moments all throughout the opponent's career. But for Tyson, he has this narrow triangle pbj sandwich sized window of his career you can pick from and anything outside of that is "hating" or bias. There are a few decent objective posters who don't think this way, but they're not the norm. I don't get why boxers like Tyson, Rocky, Pacquiao, etc always have to be such long winded dramatic threads.

Exactly, also every Tyson fan on here seems to deny basic logic and they have a million excuses ready for why Tyson lost or why he struggled in so many fights, it’s ridiculous. They have this delusion that mike Tyson is some unstoppable fighting machine and when you give a valid argument to why that’s not the case they act like your the moron lol

Same thing goes for Foreman, though. Excuses why he lost to Young and how he got saved by the bell against Lyle.

Why are you going to Tyson threads and badmouthing Tyson fans? You've posted about 7 times in this one and every time you claim the fans are morons. What's the point?

Yeah this is something I'm never gonna wrap my head around, people love to bash people defending Tyson and say that they always use excuses but when it's time to defend their own favorite boxer then they love to use the excuses that they bash other people for using.

Like, choose one my guy. It's either no excuses for any boxer or excuses is allowed for everyone.

What I meant was why aren't you bashing Foreman fans for excusing his losses? Or Liston fans? Or Ali fans? Or Lewis fans? Or Holyfield fans? Why bash Tyson fans for using valid excuses?

    Why does it bother you?
