Um, footwork? When Wilder was backing up, he would more often than not square himself up instead of moving off a proper angle. And at times he would step back with his lead leg first. But it should be: back foot, front foot, back foot, front foot. And when under fire, even in the opening round, Wilder crossed his legs. By that I mean he switched stances while moving backwards. That is a big no, no! Ironically, here Wilder demonstrates how he should be fighting: This content is protected So they have the knowledge, but my money is that they rarely implement these techniques in their workouts. Only thing I have to say is that jumping on ones toes leads to nothing good. But I digress. Something that worked well for Wilder was his right hand to the body. He has to do more work to the body! Especially the right hand. Give Fury something to think about and also, slow him down! On the subject of dealing with Fury´s jab... well Wilder will have to stop with leaning backwards. It works with shorter fighters, but not with Fury. That is the first key. Wilder has a lot to work on, but a few minor adjustments alone will get him far.
Wilder is 3/1 at the moment with the bookmakers, great chance to make a lot of cash if you believe this fairy tale.
I will not bet on him. He did not showed any improvement since Ortiz fight. Unlike with these A.J and Fury, even Ruiz looks that fought technically better in 2 nd fight, despite he lost on points, he looked more responsible and more difficult to hurt.
From one thing, Wilder looks considerably fresher and younger than he is on paper, if I did not knew, I might gave him 27-29 not more. Looks that he does have a lot of biological resources reserves. Another stuff that he always is the same, I do not noticed any improvements.
He's too far along in his career and too old to make the improvements he'd have to make. He has a chance of course, but I expect him to get battered again. This may be his last title fight, unless he cashes out afterwards against one of the younger guys.
How can you say the division has been weak when he didn't fight the top fighters. He could have fought Wlad, Haye, AJ, Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, Pulev, Chisora, Ruiz. His reign involved avoiding almost all of the top guys so you can't defend his resume by saying it was a weak era.
Wilder will stop Fury within 8. Don't put big money on Fury, you will lose it. Though what I'm hearing is coming from secondhand sources, they are good people and very observant from my experiences with them. Wilder is living for revenge. He's full of hate. His whole life is about wiping Fury out. Just take my word for it: Fury is done. Next year will be a Joshua-Wilder fight. Be forewarned.
Lol, hate will somehow magically fix his boxing skills? If his head is full of Fury I’m more inclined to think he will fold under the pressure. It would be one thing if Fury landed some luck punch but he dominated and battered him in the 2nd fight. Pretty much boxed his ears of in the 1st. Now Fury lives in his head 24/7. Wilder is done and will get KOed again.
Wilder has a better chance of beating Fury than any of the previous lot, wlad proven, vitali would get injured in 3 rounds missing so many punches, and whoever else was top 10 like povetkin and Eddie chambers And wilder has little chance
I said he feasted on weak competition dude, which isn't defending his resume. I personally only rate a few fighters at HW and don't think it's been all that great of an era.
