Unless the fights gonna be a fix favoring wilder I’ll bet my house on fury whooping him again. Wilder can be completely full of hate and think about fury 24/7, it doesn’t change the fact that he has no skill whatsoever and is close to being past his prime
The N'jadaka hate can will something into existence if utilized correctly. Whatever he is doing, Wilder will be seeing Fury from now till December, and on fight night the blood lust and wrath will explode and all that energy harnessed into his fist. What he hits, he destroys.
Wilder will never be skilled enough to beat fury. I also think fury took out however much prime Wilder had left.
Many on here, if they don't like who the champs are, call it a "weak era". That's the extent of their BS analysis
The most dangerous man on the planet to write off is Deontay Wilder. He is the living definition of "once punch is all it takes". Never write him off. I want Fury to win, but I wouldn't be surprised if Wilder won.
See, now while I agree with you that Wilder has a chance, albeit a small one, the statements above are simply garbage. On which planet is Ortiz a top fighter or top 10, he is a bum built up to be a boogyman by Wilder's team to give him legitimacy. The quality of Ortiz's competition says top 25 fighter, not top 10.
Furious is too advanced in his skills and movement and ring control than Wilder wilder can’t adjust/improve that much at his age fury to win again by mid to late KO
He was hardly dominated by Wilder in either fight. Ortiz came closer than anyone else to beating wilder, other than Fury. Ortiz was actually unlucky in the first wilder fight, and could have easily had a TKO victory on another night with a different ref, who also let Wilder and his team get away with far too much. I'd give Ortiz a good chance against any of the top 10 below Wilder who is rank 3.
In the politest way, you are deluding yourself greatly, Wilder was on the back foot jabbing to the body and head in the early rounds of the second fight and it was working against him as Fury was simply stepping back, or jabbing with him and even busting him up with his jab, as much as you want to believe it, Wilder cannot become some sort of master back foot counterpuncher in 10 months from being a fighter with a right hand and nothing else He Will lose again
If Fury stays motivated and focused i cant see it. Of course Wilder always has a puncher chance against anyone, but when you watch his last 11 fights (Stiverne 1 to Fury 2) its obvious the guy has so many bad flaws in his game, he is like Tennis player who has an outstanding service but all other strokes (forehand, backhand, volley, etc.) are average or below average. Teddy Atlas put it right when he said: "Wilder never learned how to fight. He can punch, he has the equalizer, but he cant fight". So many ppl believed honeslty he would be the favorite against AJ and Fury...how??? Even the AJ from the Wlad fight (imo his best performance ever) would be the favorit against him. He cant fight on the backfoot, and AJ would also pressure him and he would not be able to land his right hand flush on him. Maybe with a little luck, yes, but i would put my money on AJ when he is at his best. In a street fight Wilder has much better chances to beat Fury and AJ then in a boxing fight. But we are talking here about Boxing.
The fact that Wilder had difficulty with Ortiz says more about the quality of Wilder's opposition than it does about Ortiz's quality. Just look at Wilder's record. Any HW with a modicum of skill always gave Wilder problems. This does not mean that they were quality HW's. Despite all that, I am willing to concede that Wilder has a chance, I would say as much a 30% based on his and Fury's tactics in the 3rd fight. However, this is not based on any significant skill component to Wilder's game, it is simply because he poses a threat to knock anyone out and he almost did it to Fury. My view is that Wilder has to keep it long, has to avoid Fury for the first 6-7 rounds if Fury comes in anyway around the 270 mark and then look to tee off when the opportunity rises. This is the strategy Wilder has adopted with anyone who can box even a little bit.
Deontay, again this is from secondhand resources (though I happen to trust them) is apparently working hard with Mark on body punching. The one thing I've been told I'm not happy about is that he isn't really putting in the kind of time he should on the jab. However, if Fury isn't training the way he should, some shattering right hands to the body will most assuredly take their toll.
