He didn't misquote you , you must be going senile. This was your original comment To which Loudon responded with this. You then misinterpreted that quote when you posted this. Loudon did not claim you said GGGs opponents were better than Jones Jr , so it was you misquoting him , not the other way around. He said exactly what you said , which is Jones would have been beaten once if he faced GGGs opposition. The proof is irrefutable so you may want to be a man and admit you were wrong.
Exactly. We are talking with Toney fanboys, they need to twist it and move goal post when faced with other posters who call them out with their BS replies. Maybe being a Toney fanboy can help you understand him? I often needed his subtitles. Toney had enough sense not to fight Wlad, who would have beaten him so badly, Toney would lose all street credit in the 313. The fight was out there, Toney declined and fought a nobody for less money.
He needed a come from behind KO to beat Nunn. No re-rematch was offered. He did not beat McCullum in the first fight when McCullum was 35 and past it with Toney in his prime. It was a draw. If McCullum was younger he's the winner, simple. So he would be 1-1 vs his A fighters, but of course you left our Roy Jones who defeated Toney with shocking ease. And he barley edged Jackson. Wasn't Toney down and cut up in this one? Mix in Toney should have lost to Tiberi who landed well over 150+ punches more and what do you get. 0-1 vs the best, a draw with an old man who was probably the 2nd best he fought. A come from behind to beat Nunn, and losing to Tiberi. Yep. It's duck time once again. How many top 10 ring magazine opponents did Toney beat at 160-168? I think you are embarrassed to reply or lack the acumen to do it. Speak up. Also Scorecards vs Toney vs McCullum 1, I posted mine. Where is yours?
George, he was a 175lb fighter ffs, an just because he sparked Roid, it doesnt mean he sparks a granite chinned GGG
Wow your burning hero-worship of Toney is sending you over the edge You were told by several posters that Golovkin would beat Toney. So what? That assumes I rate Toney as highly as you, which I don't. And in the first fight he'd very well have won with different judges. He barely beat an old and end of the road version of Kalambay. Let's bust out the champagne! AMAZING!!!!b Tell us about Watson's crowning achievement, winning a commonwealth title! Can I interest you in Steve Rolls, who won a USBA MW title? No? Good old 16 fight Collins. I wonder if Golovkin could beat a guy like him. I know that they wanted to put GGG against 34-0 Munguia but they refused to endorse the mismatch. He beat some guys that are not really relevant at LHW. And Golovkin has been on the Ring P4P list for 296 weeks. It doesn't mean that the current version is better than, say, when he faced Proksa. 35 y/o McCallum (who frankly beat Toney in their first meeting) was not prime. It's a fact that Mike was 35 when he fought Toney.
Mendoza Score card Toney vs McCallum 1. Round 1 10-9 McCallum with his jab being the main difference. Round 10-9 Toney. He's all over McCallum Round 3 10-10. Actually, I think McCallum was slightly the better, but to avoid any bias I'll call this one even as its the closest round so far. Round 4. 10-9 McCallum. Round 5 10-9 McCallum Round 6 10-9 Toney. Toney's left is too low. Hard round to score. Toney has the bigger moments, McCallum has more moments. Round 7 10-9 McCallum is breathing hard, and IMO has gone low one times too many. The ref should warm him. Round 8. 10-9 for Toney. Round 9. 10- 9 for McCullum as he landed more and mixed in body shots Round 10. 10-9 for Toney, thanks to a fast start in the round. Round 11. 10-9 for McCallum, boy he made Toney Miss often.McCallum lands more often. ** PUNCH STATS THROUGH ROUND 11.** McCallum threw 831 and landed 325. Toney threw 728 and landed 301. Clear edge for McCallum. Round 12. 10-9 Toney. Toney's best round in the fight. Final score Card: This content is protected A draw here is a fine call, though I felt McCallum edged it. This content is protected Conclusion: Visibly past his best at age 35, McCallum officially draws with a prime James Toney with some mularkey on one of the judges cards. This means if McCallum was a few years younger, he takes this. Or if Judge Kaczmarek was fair! Key points the Toney fans boys dare not address. The film and evidence is here. When a much younger fighter faces a man 11 years old, both with ability, the younger man should win almost ever time. This was a draw—stock up for McCallum. This fight shows Toney's limitations landing his own jab and lack of defense vs. the same punch.
Like I said your personal biased card carries no weight.Everybody knows that you had your mind up BEFORE the fight.I could watch the Jacobs-GGG fight and do the same
Had it 7-5 to McCallum. It was a pretty close fight but I thought MM had done enough to take it. Maybe I'm biased
you like to talk a lot about Toney’s record.Yet I see only B and C level fighters on GGG’s record.Toney obviously has the better wins and you can’t deal with that fact
I know he was. There's little to no size difference between Jones and GGG, so bringing up Jones' loss to Tarver an example of poor chin is very disingenuous. With GGGs lack of high level defence or reflexes and aggressive style, do you seriously see him not getting KOed by Tarver? The guy who was both bigger and quicker, and a genuinely great puncher at his weight, which happened to be 15lbs+ above GGG's? GGG wouldn't get iced with the first clean punch which landed, but he'd be beaten black and blue before being brutally KOed. And Tarver sparked lots of people, not just Jones.
